Who says men hold all the power?! In the upcoming movie The Women, opening today, the ladies clearly pull the strings. Eva Mendes stars in this power-packed, all-female–cast comedy, which is sure to bust a rib or two with laughter.
Eva's onscreen character, a perfume-spritzing, irresistible New Yorker, finds herself in situations where she stirs up more than just scented oils.
Of course, off-screen, Eva doesn't mind making a few waves either, especially when it comes to helping animals. We love Eva for her staunch anti-fur stance. Not only is she talented and beautiful, she also put her bum on the line (literally!) for fur-bearing animals when she posed naked in our "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" ad that made a huge media splash this past winter.
It's no surprise that Eva is part of such a strong, female-centric movie. As an intelligent woman, she knows a fox-fur stole or a full-length mink coat doesn't display power or beauty. Rather, wearing animal skins does just the opposite. So unless you're going for the "I'm heartless and don't care if animals are skinned alive and anally electrocuted for my wretched fur purse" look, well, we suggest spending your money on tickets to check out Eva in The Women instead. And … you might want to grab a box of tissues too—for those uncontrollable estrogen-packed moments. This one's bound to be full of it.
