No_Fur.jpgTurns out that my "eXtreme" colleagues over at peta2 do more than just talking about their favorite skate spots and "moshing," or whatever it is that the kids are up to these days. Just two months after they put out a call for members and Street Teamers to contact Burton Snowboards about their use of fur, the company has committed to going fur-free for good!

This move means that all major action sports retailers are currently fur-free, and we're currently turning our attention to Guess? Inc. The company has announced that it will stop selling fur eventually, but evidently has plans to continue ordering fur until September of 2007, and selling as much as it can until April 2008. If compassionate companies like Burton can make the commitment to a total and immediate ban on fur, Guess can too. Please click here to ask the company to go fur free immediately.

Thanks to everyone who contacted the company about this issue, and thank you, Burton, for making the compassionate decision to go fur-free.
