If you’ve ever felt like politicians are just a bunch of vegetable puppets, this video will be all the confirmation you need. This idea came into existence a few months ago when a meeting about something else entirely degenerated into a contest to see who could come up with the funniest vegetable-themed name for a presidential candidate. A joint project with our friends at Free Range Studios, Road to the Greenhouse brings Broccoli Obama, Celery Clinton, Dijon McCain, Fruity Giuliani and a whole cast of politicians to life to debate one of the most important issues facing our country today: Is it time we gave peas a chance?

This one has been a major undertaking, but I’m completely in love with the way it turned out. I hope you like it too.

Up until Wednesday, you can put yourself in the running to earn a bit of spending money over at Helium.com just for doing what you do so well right here on this very blog. Anyone interested can head over there and post your thoughts on topics ranging from “PETA’s Kentucky Fried Cruelty Campaign” to “How to End Animal Homelessness”. Check it out here if it strikes your fancy.

They’ve got a nice little community going over there, and the articles make for some pretty interesting (and, yes, occasionally infuriating) reading.

I’m psyched to let you know that we’ve just partnered with Helium, “the leading consumer destination where people can speak their minds and consider opposing opinions.” We’re excited because the partnership provides PETA members, and the public at large, an open and fair environment to debate any animal rights issue that you want. The site’s format is super user-friendly, so this should be a fun and easy way to talk to new people about the issues you’re most passionate about.
