If you find yourself in fabulous Las Vegas this weekend and want to win big, be sure to roll by table number 459 at the Sands Expo Center.

There you'll find PETA Prime at the "Vegas@50+" conference, organized by American Association of Retired Persons (AARP). Our booth features the many reasons to be "Veg@50+," including the following:

  • We'll have three $50 Whole Foods gift certificates that we'll give away to eligible participants in our "Pledge to Be Veg" contest.
  • We'll be snapping photos of visitors with our gorgeous Lettuce Ladies and Chris P. Carrot to post on PETA Prime.
  • Free goodies! We'll have Primal Vegan Jerky, PETA pens, and comic books for kids.
  • Oh, and PETA Prime blogger Lisa Towell, the picture of vegan vitality, will be there to discuss how her cruelty-free lifestyle keeps her fit, healthy, and happy.

Last weekend at the AARP Life@50+ Expo, PETA launched PETA Prime—our brand-new Web site full of great resources to help folks live more compassionate, greener, and healthier lives.

Proving that it's never too late to make a healthy lifestyle change, PETA Prime gave out more than 600 free copies of our "Vegetarian Starter Kit" at this year's rockin' convention.

Highlights of the convention include the following:

  • Another booth did free cholesterol screenings, and when someone registered high, the booth referred him or her to the PETA Prime booth! Talk about cross-promotion!
  • Many grandparents stopped by the booth to let PETA Prime know that they had a son or daughter or grandkids who were veg and wanted recipes to cook for them. Here you go … but while you're at it, why don't you cook up a delicious veg recipe for yourself?
  • When PETA Prime asked one baby boomer why she was vegan, she said simply, "common sense"! Ain't it the truth?

PETA Files readers: Have any friends, parents, grandparents, or relatives who are baby boomers? Tell them about PETA Prime! And if you're a boomer yourself, take a looksie and let us know what you think.
