After unveiling our plan for a spay-and-neuter billboard featuring Tiger Woods, our phones rang off the hook and our inboxes were inundated with tons of feedback from supporters and skeptics alike. Among the rapid responses? A courteous call from Tiger's lawyers asking that we pull him from the ad—a request that PETA quickly honored.

Now that we've left Tiger off the billboard, we're looking to replace him with another oh-so-familiar face: continent-hopping, scandal-producing Mark Sanford, governor of South Carolina. Our potential slogan? "Your dog doesn't have to go to South America to get laid."

I think any billboard like this is potentially a bad idea... It could really harm the person who is targeted and their family. I think a spay-neuter add is a FANTASTIC idea, but it can be done in a way that won't hurt anyone, human or otherwise, in the process.

That is awesome! He wanted to hold public office, then he can be put on a public billboard.

Come on Peta!! Be creative!!! Change the black background on the billboard to a golf course and sub out the image of Tiger for a photo of a golf bag similar to his, with the Tiger club cover .. if you need to you could even throw a dog and cat cover over some of the other clubs. Call me if you need help with this. The idea is clever and Tiger kind of deserves it.

Frankly, I think it would be an insult to all the animals.

Yes, perhaps use an image of a real tiger, or just a golf course with clubs, because if it has the jokeline still, people will get it.

...wow...his teeth are like really white.

I think the ad would probably be more powerful if PETA used on animals in the ad. Some people may see this as over-the-top. Personally I believe PETA should avoid harming humnan's reputations in their fight for the animals! I'm sure their is a better way to advertise our ABC's!! :)

Hey PETA, I agree with some of the comments above! Keep the "little tigers too" tag line and just use a couple of kittens on a golf course. People will definitely get the reference and abstract enough that TW's lawyers couldn't do anything about it.
