When your full-time job is extracting brains from pigs' heads, irreparable trauma and polyradiculoneuropathy are all in a day's work. Polyradic … huh?

Polyradiculoneuropathy is a painful nerve disorder that attacks the peripheral nerves and the spine nerve roots. Earlier this month, a study revealed that 24 slaughterhouse workers had developed the disease after inhaling pig-brain tissue mist.

pig

We always knew that working at a slaughterhouse messes with your head, but now we can say it actually attacks your brain.

That poor little pig in the picture.

She has more brains and love in her than those mean slaughterhouse killers!

Now, the workers are sick and know what it's like to be hurting!

It's very difficult to have empathy for ungodly slaughterhouse workers.

Vengance is mine, says the Lord.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

A wise man treats his animals well; a fool abuses them.

"Vengance is mine, says the Lord."

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

"A wise man treats his animals well; a fool abuses them."

Ditto!

Gotta love Karma!

It is so sad that people who eat bacon do not see the reality behind the final product thet buy at the store. There is a lot of abuse, suffering, and cruelty in every pack of bacon produced.

People need to understand that they are responsible for animal cruelty when they buy meat, and by spending their money on such "products" they are signing the paycheck of animal abusers.

Viva Peta...thank you for all that you are doing for the voiceless.

I can only echo a lot of the comments made so far. These people make a living from inflicting harm on others so they don't really deserve anything other than suffering in return.

Their reward awaits them in the BELLY OF THE BEAST.

While I find their Jobs sickening I do have to say that many people who work in slaughter houses do it because they have to, not because they want to...Many of them are trying to get green cards....trying to get away from a Horrid life....
The people I feel that should be ill is the people actually making the blood money...Slaughter house workers are usually abused by the People "Higher on the 'Food' Chain"...If they leave they risk being turned in and deported(Watch food inc,) and even sued if they come forward with information on the cruelty.

I wish that there was a program to get these people out of dangerous jobs and into safe, humane jobs...

How can you be so judgmental of the workers? This isn't karma, and these aren't their animals. A few owners are getting very wealthy by exploiting these animals and the people who slaughter them, and you're happy the workers are getting terrible diseases? It's also nice that soldiers get blown up in Afghanistan too cause their killing civilians, right? Who profits? If you want to stop something, find out who and go after them, or better yet, the profit system itself. Shame on you all for saying this about people who just want to feed their families.

The gates to Hell are open to those that kill the innocents. Animals have a greater sense of kindness then we humans. I wish it was considered murder to kill a animal and that the punishment fit the crime.

More people need to see these photos and maybe then there will be less meat eaters in the world!
