Oprah
Here's one more reason why I heart Oprah.

Yesterday, during her fall fashion style makeover show, a stylist mentioned that a furry vest worn in one woman's "after" look was faux. Oprah replied, "I was a PETA Woman of the Year so I hope that's faux!"

From celebrating vegan cuisine with Chef Tal Ronnen to airing an in-depth investigation of the cruelty of puppy mills, Oprah never hesitates to remind millions of television viewers to consider animals in their everyday lives.

Not a fan. She does shows about the horrors suffered by animals on farms and yet she still eats meat.

It's kinda like having an seal hunt protest while wearing a fur coat.

Wow! What a change around for Oprah! I remember reading years ago that she would give her friends real fur coats for Christmas, birthdays. etc. I also saw a picture of her in the paper with her new pet, an ADOPTED cocker spaniel! I rarely watch her show but she's OK with me!

Oprah Winfrey is a very open-minded person who is gradually and rightfully being inspired by animal rights causes.

BUT Oprah DOES support Rodeos and complimented rodeos in her show a while back... the cruelty in rodeos is horrific.

But, still, cool move, Oprah.

Go Oprah! Only weak, shallow, and cowardly women would advocate wearing real fur.

Yay Oprah! Way to use your show as a way to show people that faux is the way to go!

I saw that show and was so proud of Oprah! We all know Oprah has a huge influence in what her viewers do (remember the Texas hamburger law suit?), so I am hoping her message got thru and her fans will only shop for "faux" fur from now on.

If she would just go Vegan full time..she wouldn't have that weight problem. Then she'd be the perfect human speciman.

Keep it going oprah if we were to wear fur we would have been born with it...yah OPRAH

I haven't like Oprah since she supported KFC recently.

That's good about the faux fur though.

I am always happy to see when a celebrity of her magnitude sheds light on animal cruelty, now if more people would just see how wrong it is to abuse animals this world would be so much better off.
