Do you know somebody who's thinking about adding a Hermes crocodile-skin bag or a pair of Alexander McQueen snakeskin pumps to their Christmas wish list? If so, the graphic pictures below will probably have them sending Santa a plea for a Matt & Nat bag or a pair of MooShoes instead.

Snakes Snakes Snakes Snakes Snakes Snakes

Whether your bag, shoe, or jacket was made from exotic skins or sexy synthetics means the difference between life or death for animals. Snakes and alligators who are stripped of their skin are usually caught in the wild, often illegally, and their skin is ripped from their bodies while they are still alive. Because they are cold-blooded animals, they can suffer for hours or even days before they die.

If you need more proof that reptiles suffer when they are exploited for fashion, check this out.

OH MY GOSH!
This really hurts to look at!
But it tells the truth.
CRUEL,INHUMANE,COLD-BLOODED
Thank you PETA for exposing this to the world! We must tell everyone about this!

This is the epitome of crude vicious exploitation. This is NOT glamor. These beautiful animals should be out basking in the sun, not being crushed and skinned and left to suffer. What is wrong with people? When will they wake up???

EveryONE should see these pix & video -- even those buying the faux versions to look "glamorous". If this glamorous, then screw it! I'll take compassionate living ANY day!

how could you hate an entire species? animals have more humanity than most humans I can count the cool REAL admirable people I know on my hand however I never met an animal I didn't like let alone hate.If you spent quality time with a being, you could learn to appreciate them.Clearly you just have not done so with snakes. Many years ago I thought I was just a "cat" person, but after care taking for dogs i was blessed enough to experience the same nobility, kindness, adorable-ness , wonder I did with any cat. This opened my heart to ALL animals. Each animal has something magnificent about them.We humans could learn a lot from them as far as how to be more evolved beings, kinder beings, more intune with the world we live in beings..I have no doubt that if I spent time with a cow or Zebra I would feel the same connections I do with dogs. cats, rats, mice, snakes..I met a rescued pig the other week and he was sooooo sweet!
So I doubt you really hate snakes. You just have not had the gift of getting to know any.

A graphic exhibition that reinforces the notion that humans are the demons of the earth and animals are the tortured souls. The fall of man perpetuates and exacerbates.

Wow. That is utterly sickening. It's savage, cruel and totally unnecessary. Hopefully the world will change someday soon.

Evil, sick, vile.
I cannot make out the human race - all I can do is teach my children right from wrong, and my god this is so wrong.

Utter rubbish. The snakes aren't left to suffer for days. The first picture clearly shows that the snake has had its neck wrung, and common sense dictates that it may be a LITTLE hard to skin a live alligator. Although why anyone would want to wear snakeskin is beyond me.

Its so horrable. why, why must the world be so cruel.
