How would you react if you learned that your father was Charles Manson?

Charles Manson

DJ Matthew Roberts was adopted as an infant. When he recently found out that his biological father is the infamous criminal, he made it very clear that he's nothing like his old man:

"My hero is Gandhi," said Roberts. "I'm an extremely nonviolent, peaceful person and a vegetarian. I don't even kill bugs."

By not eating meat, Roberts is saving the lives of more than 100 animals each year. File this one under "sometimes the apple does fall far from the tree."

Its brilliant to see people who break the mold.
If someone who was made from the sperm of such a monster can be such a good, compassionate spirit whats stopping all the rest of us?.
This man is an inspiration, and I wish him all the best, he shouldn't be judged on his fatheR.

Charles Manson is more of a deeply ignorant and misled person than criminal mastermind. Good news about the son though!

Where on Earth does the "100 animals a year" figure come from?

Charles Manson is a vegetarian too. He talked about peace, love, and the environment. Most people don't focus on that though, only the negative media surrounding him.

Mahatma Gandhi is the human polor opposite of the INHUMANE Charles Manson.

Although that's really great news that the son is a vegetarian who admires Gandhi, there's much more heinous creatures out there than Charles Manson -- who was more of a mastermind than an actual participant in the killing sprees he inspired.

If his father had been a vivisectionist or a butcher working in a slaughterhouse or electrocuting foxes on a farm, that would truly be remarkable. But having never even known his biological father, it just goes to prove that upbringing and environment will win out over "genes" any day (although scientists and doctors would prefer you didn't believe that).

And since the father was a trash baby, born unwanted to a prostitute, thrown away, raped and adopted by the prison system where he's lived most of his life, I'd say in the case of the son, this is definitely a triumph of a successful adoption. All's well that ends well!

Ummm....CM didn't/doesn't eat meat or kill bugs either. He used to get so angry if anyone at the ranch or out in the desert killed a bug/scorpion or snake. CM loves animals and was even on Inside Edition this past spring talking about how its wrong for animals to be in zoos. CM may be alot of things, but he does care for animals. Its all out there for anyone to see or read...

I'm glad other people have pointed it out but Charles Manson is an animal lover, tree huger, vegetarian, etc.

Thanks for the comment Tommy. Manson had many dogs at Spahn Ranch. And believe it or not they were fed and ate before the humans.

Charlie loves animals and would never eat or harm any of them.

More lies on Manson. Charlie has done nothing BUT be vocal for many, many years about all the negative things done to animals and the environment.
Wheres the DNA test?

Is it just me or are there some sick twisted individuals rivaling Manson's lunacy leaving comments on here? Seriously, are you fools really going to congratulate Manson for being an animal lover? The guy was a psychopath!
