- Exhibit A: Veggie alien ponders its victim.
- Upping the creepiness—Newsweek offers further evidence that murderers often torture animals before moving on to human victims.
- More sad than frightening is my latest guilty pleasure: Beatles tunes remixed doggie-style. Goodness!
- Arachnophobes take heart! A jumping vegetarian spider was just discovered. Does "newly discovered" also indicate more highly evolved? Methinks yes.
- Rodeos are always an epic FAIL. At this one, a bull showed compassionless spectators how it feels to be humiliated—and it's HILARIOUS!
- Many zoos mistreat animals; others deceive visitors. With all its zebras dead of starvation after a siege earlier this year, somebody at the Marah Land Zoo in Gaza City has gotten a wee bit carried away with the hair dye …
- Chris Rock's comment "What the hell did Michael Vick do? Pitbulls ain't even real dogs!" has hurt my heart for weeks now. Thinking of all the abused pits we see on straw delivery and how his comment only stands to empower their abusers, I'm very happy that Richard Pryor's wife isn't letting him get away with it!
- P.S. For y'all who didn't know, Richard Pryor was an absolute angel to animals.
- Switching over to cooing, monkey mommies make googly eyes at their bambinos too!
- Always ending on a cute note, this little piggy thinks she's a doggie.
That's the haps, y'all. Catch ya next month!

THANK YOU for posting about Chris Rock's comment I emailed PETA as soon as I heard it
it is disgusting and frightening how you can turn on almost any show or radio show or even day to day encounters with co-workers and the most slanderous, insensitive and supportive to animal cruelty comments spew from human's mouths. It feels like it is more today than ever.Which must mean society is really getting threatened as they KNOW that animal cruelty is wrong and must come to an end in all aspects.
I LOVE The photo of the Monkey Mum and her baby but instead of the caption reading that they are like us maybe it is better suited to say here is a photo showing a trait we are like them since I feel it us humans whom should be measuring up to non humans qualities in that they as a majority posses FAR more humanity than most of us humans.

Thank you for this post. A trained pit bull terrier has more class than the overpaid, divisive and irreverent Chris Rock !

Good for Richard Pryor's wife, Jennifer, for taking the stand she did with Rock's insensitive asinine comments.
Hopefully studies such as this one of the mother macaque and her baby will lead us to a more profound respect for all our non-human relatives and break down the false image we have of ourselves as 'special and superior'.

Wow Chris Rock is disgusting.
I'm glad he never got the role, HAHA.
And what's he mean dogs are bad to black people?, dogs don't see color, they see people.

Chris Rock is an ignorant fool. What a terrible and stupid thing to say. I hope this hits his career HARD.

What is being done regarding abandoned pets from families that have had their homes foreclosed on and are living in NO PET apartments or homes? We live in a rural area and see a abandoned animal every week. The government should step in and force the renters to include PETS for these families.

Chris Rock is a dumbass. Don't worry, no one has cared what he has had to say since 1995. I stopped watching and listening to him a long time ago. Seems he is awful bitter about something.
