We told you that Bethenny Frankel was going to prove that she'd rather go naked than wear fur … and yesterday, we made it a reality.

The Real Housewives of New York City star stripped down on a rooftop in (surprise!) New York City.

The ad isn't ready yet, of course, but we couldn't resist giving you a small preview:

Bethenny Frankel

We worked with a top-notch team on this campaign, including celebrity photographer Joseph Cultice at Weiss Artists, stylist Cannon at Judy Casey, makeup artist extraordinaire Ingeborg at Workgroup, and fantastic hairstylist Stacey Weinstein at Loft 26.

The ad will be released this fall, so stay tuned!

Did Bethany used to wear fur? I know she is a vegan chef but I didn't think it was for animal related reasons and I think I saw her wearing fur on the show before. Did Peta get her to change her views? That's awesome!

Why don't we sneak in a seal team ( pun intended) into China and rescue all the animals possible.

I support PETA. And I believe what it stands for. So much in fact, I get upset seeing how PETA cares too much about celebrities saying they will not wear fur, but do these celebrities or people of claimed fame eat meat...if so how do they represent PETA in its fullest? It's not fair because they're popular to think they have any influence on someone like me who doesn't eat meat, buy products tested on animals, doesn't support companies who test on animals. Does Bethany? I don't care if she's not wearing fur that only one thing she can or should be doing if PETA is going to choose to put them on their website. Support the little people. Does Bethany send email after email asking companies to stop testing? I don't need a pat on the back or my face in an ad to know that what I'm doing is right and PETA would support me.

She's so hot- nobody around her needs a fur coat either!

Way to go with making a statement. And hey- people will be saying it was going to far- but i think that that might be exactly what we havae to do to end wearing fur! it belongs on animals- not people!!!

Yay, Bethany! Yay, PETA! I knew there was a "real" reason that she's my favorite "housewife" (hear that, Luanne?)--and that I really wasn't "wasting" my time watching RHNY (hear that, my dear husband?)!

Thank you Bethenny for supporting PETA. Animals need their fur more than we do!
