Seriously, all the cool kids are going vegetarian these days—and with great results. Just as our friend Mike White did, trainer Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser went vegetarian for his health—and his cholesterol count dropped 100 points.
You heard that right: 100 points!
Over at Ecorazzi, they're sayin' Bob went vegetarian after reading Skinny Bitch. I really should start lending my copy to more people.

That is awesome!!
You know they were doing ads for milk during the Biggest Loser and telling people they should drink 3 glasses a day (barf.....).

That is sooooo cool. I hope this will show other people that you can be physical strong without meat. I can't believe how many "fitness" books talk about how the protein from meat is better than soy or beans.

I also went vegetarian a year ago and havent looked back. I feel so much better and dont have to worry about harming animals to feed myself. Even my kids enjoy veggie meals!

I don't appreciate the way you went after Vick
I want to see you go after the people in Florida for killing the horses

Way to go! That's a great leader.

Hey Helen. Vick needed gone after and should still be monitored very closely. That kind of pathology doesn't just disappear. PETA steps in where other folks fear to tread. Good for them.
This post IS addressing the killing of horses in Florida. Those horses are being killed for thier MEAT. Immigrants pay big money for horse meat which they can buy freely in other countries. The point to address is shutting down the black market for the meat and part of the way to do that is to make people see that eating meat of ANY kind is not good for you or the animals. It's all connected......

Great news - I think this is awesome news to teach millions and millions to go vegetarian - it is the right thing to do in life.

If for no other reason, do it for your health. My dad cut his triglycerides in half and dropped 80 points off of his bad cholesterol after going vegan for only 6 months. This works, friends and the animals need you to live a long, healthy life! GoVeg.com is a great place to start.

It is best to be vegan and to abolish the use of animals as our property forever. I went vegan afte reading Prof Falicione's books on the abolitionist movement. I dont miss any food.

Awesome!!! I love Bob and I am so glad to see that he has gone veggie. I think he is a great mentor and he will be a great mentor for all those new veggies out there.

Congratulations! I went vegetarian 20 yrs. ago and would never go back to eating meat. Out bodies are meant to be more than a vessel for dead animals.

Awesome job! I hope more people do the same, the best thing I ever did!

Made the switch to become a vegetarian 2 years ago and decided less than a year ago to go vegan. The smell of meat on a grill turns my stomach. Not missing meat one bit!

Look at your teeth, Bob. Those are the eating implements of an omnivore.

I went vegan after reading Skinny Bitch. It was the best thing I have ever done. I couldn't continue to support animal curelty anymore. And as a benefit I have lost weight and have become a better runner. Hopefully my family and friends will follow my example.
