Pop quiz—Tokyo's bustling Shibuya Crossing is famous for:
- The statue of Hachikō, a dog who used to wait at Shibuya Station every day for his guardian to return from work.

I wish the lettuce ladies would also carry signs saying how horrible it is that Japan still hunts and brutally kills whales! The Animal Planet show Whale Wars just ended for this season and sad to say the Sea Shepards aboard their ship, The Steve Irwin, didn't do anything to help the whales. Not that they didn't try because they really did but the Japan whaling fleet was just too much for them. Everything they tried to cripple the Japanese ships failed. EVERYTHING! But they said they will be out again when the next whaling season starts. Too bad they can't get more ships to help them. They were just out numbered.
It's very sad to see the dead whales being brought aboard the Japanese factory ship where the whales are cut up.

Rex's Mom to be clear Sea Shepards DID do something-They were able to save 300 whales. That is what the Japanese was short on their quota. I do however agree that the whaling fleet was just too much for them. They do need to up their game. But they went balls to the wall with how close they came to the ships just trying to cut them off! Sea shepards do have more ships(not sure if they all can handle that kind of cold) but I am hoping they get all of their ships involved for the next campaign. But I am curious to see if they can still sail under Holland(don't remember if that's the right country)flag. I thought in one episode they were told they could no longer throw from the ship and they defiantly did. But I would say that was self defense completely.

You are right Alicia. I forgot that great point that they did prevent the Japanese from killing I think it was 305 whales so they didn't meet their quota. That is wonderful that those 305 whales can still live. The Steve Irwin did sail under a Dutch flag and with them lobbing stink bombs at the Japanese ships, was self-defense especially when the Japanese ship had that equipment that made that really loud noise. (Forgot what the acronym stood for)
