Well, Kentucky is rotting. PETA should ask Governor Lingle of Hawaii for permission to put those statues on Hawaii public property. I would love to see them around.

Well, of course the Colonel was from Kentucky. That's why we have the "K" in KFC. KFC could have easily been AFC, WFC, etc.

Colonel Sanders of KFC is a devil among men. He represents all that is wrong in our world today. He is a walking stigma of animal cruelty. His local establishments should be toppled just like Saadam hussein's statues in Bhagdad.

I have lived in Louisville for almost a year. I have boycotted KFC and their barbaric practices since 2002, and have quit eating meat altogher 6 months ago. I would absolutely love to The Chicken being displayed in Louisville, maybe some of the people will actually understand how horrible they get treated..Then they can take some of the memorials and building paintings dedicated to the Colonel down. I hate him

Question. What do you consider an acceptible way to kill a chicken? I thought PETA was about preventing animal cruelty not everyone being VEGAN. I don't want animals to suffer anymore than the next person, but I am not a VEGAN. I hope this gets posted. My last comments didn't get posted. Probably because I have a different opinion than everyone else.

KFC is disgusting. Not unlike the NFL. Please continue boycotting KLC and boycott NFL. There is no acceptable way of killing animals for any reason. The Colonel was a joke, (he was from Corbin Ky. where my grandparents were from and always said that he was "shady"). Michael Vick is right up there with the worst. Do not kill animals!! I've lived in Kentucky my whole life and have had to deal with the fact that my state is one of the most narrow minded places that I know of. People here don't like or except change. Its time we jumped on the bandwagon and start doing whats right instead of whats comfortable for people.

I believe in eating meat but I do not feel we need to torture animals to do so. The things I've seen in slaughter houses should not be permitted.

I agree with Evelyn. I'm all for the ethical treatment of animals, and KFC is nothing but terrible for the health of humans and does some pretty awful stuff to animals, but I don't know if I agree with some of the stances they take on stuff like veganism. I'm vegetarian, although I do own some leather products for the simple fact that vegan shoes are not easy to find and can be expensive. Also, it's hard enough to get nutrients just being vegetarian.
So let's stop getting all preachy, commenters, and worry about real issues. The ethical treatment of animals.

I am from Williamsburg Kentucky, about 15 miles away from the first kfc and am a vegitarian. I can tell you there are not very many people here who think that veganism is a good thing and it is hard for me to be a vegitarian in the area that I live in because all anyone knoes is "good southern cooking" which is mostly meat!

I am from kentucky, and i find it very offensive for you people to say kentucky is rotten. I am a avid animal lover, i own 9 horses, 4 cats, 5 cats, and numerous fish. my animals are treated better than most peoples children are treated. So please kentucky is not rotten, KFC is rotten.

Please stop saying that kentucky is cruel and narrow-minded. KFC is the one being cruel and narrow-minded, not kentucky itself. But I agree with you all. KFC and other restaurants should find a more humane method of slaughter, at the very least.
