The adorable peta2 mascot, Not a Nugget, is out to educate people about an issue that is near and dear to his heart: the abuse of chickens killed for McDonald's Happy Meals. To alert young and old alike to the suffering that goes into every McNugget, Not a Nugget is embarking on a tour of the U.S., tirelessly handing out free Unhappy Meals to each and every McDonald's customer who crosses his path.

There were no bloody McDonalds in the Garden of Eden. For that matter KFC and all the other blights that market animal corpses are hellish.

This makes me want to cry...
Does it really matter what condition they were in PRIOR to death? Does it? PLUS, us eating chicken and such is called THE CIRCLE OF LIFE. LOOK IT UP!!!

Trey,
You are clearly a very confused young boy. Killing is from the devil's kingdom and is the CIRCLE OF DEATH.
The Circle of Life is eating what "GOD" provided for us and it is written in the very first chapter of the Bible.....Genises 1:29
Look it up Kid!

These industries are horrific. But responsibility also is on people who govern because just like they should not allow things like dog fighting, they also should not be allowing the atrocities done to animals. Angry mobs should be directing towards congress and those in charge. HORRORS need to be illegal! That should be just obvious. The governing officials need to be put on the spot in addition to the companies. Torture bi-products, like the bodies of feeling beings that were treated so horribly, should not be an allowed trade in a society that attempts any claim at decency and rightness. The constitution of the United States was written and amended due to an awareness of rights and wrongs, that individuals should not be enslaved or oppressed or assaulted. This spirit must apply to animals, who are feeling individuals, or else it is a vile hypocrisy!!!! There is a sense of rightness in the spirit of the constitution that must therefore demand that right be done to persons born in non-human bodies, too!

That's me, well half of me anyway, in that last picture. That was from the demo at the McDonalds in Bear, Delaware on Friday the 17th. Thanks for coming to DE PETA -- it was a great time !!

Unhappy meals? How creative. I guess PETA gave their publicist all their marketing money to come up with "Kentucky Fried Cruelty"?

Umm... Saucy? KJV Genesis 9:3. Just saying.

Alex, what have YOU done to help animals? Stop being so petty, get off your butt, and DO something productive for your fellow earthlings.
Posted by: Michele | July 22, 2009 01:38 PM
Trey - you are asking if it matters what conditions they were in prior to their death?
Well, are you okay with living in pain and misery your entire life?
Does it matter to YOU what conditions YOU live YOUR life in before you die?
I'd say the answer is YES.
Do unto others ...

As an employee for this evil corporation for over ten years I have witnessed first hand the cruelty that occurs to humans. Its amazing how people know the food is bad but for some reason they are like moths to the flame. These corps don't care about anything but the dollars they stuff into their pockets. Go Vegan.

Wow i really ppl tht think eating meat is terrible.. really u need it to live. and i love mcdonalds i dnt eat there every day of my life but i go there when i need something quick. you ppl are soo disillusioned... i hate tht ppl are killing dogs and cats and monkeys but chickens are what we eat its something tht we eat to live and ya ik some of the way they kill them is horrific well i really dnt need to know
Posted by: anie | July 24, 2009 02:07 PM
when you say that killing dogs is worst that killing chickens, that being completly unfair. in the world of humans that would be called racsim. what makes a dog or a humans life more meaningful that a chickens. in other countrys they eat dogs, and everyone thinks thats wrong, but to me i think eating meat in general is filthy and disgusting. we need to stop pinning labels on what life is more important to others and just treat everything equal!!!

What happens when other animals eat other animals? Is that so wrong too? Technically from what everyone is saying ANYTHING eating a animal is wrong.. So the way I see some of this is that the whole world is gonna end up with people being the only race left on this planet. Which will do a great load of good... I think not.
We humans are just another animal, in the feeding spectrum.. We get eaten all the time, by bears, tigers, sharks (un-intentionally, but still eat us), and even other humans eat humans..
Your all spouting off the God stuff, but to be honest.. If we weren't meant to eat animals, then why would he have given us the teeth and digestive system to do so? And the ability to kill animals?

I dont believe in cruelty to any animal no matter what it is. ITs wrong to abuse it just because your going to eventually eat it. Plus there are way more humane ways to accomplish the end result. But these are just wrong. My children do not see things like this they are not allowed to things like this on tv. It would terrify my 2 year old and no they are not old enough at that age to understand.

This makes me want to cry.
Those chickens in there? They go through soooo much pain and suffering.
I don't know if you've ever felt that, so LOOK IT UP.
You would have a different opinion if you were stuffed in a small little cage with a bunch of other people and if you went through strokes and were so drugged up that your legs couldn't support your body mass and if you were separated from your family and friends so you could be in 4 or 6 peices in a small cardboard carton for little children to eat.
The "Circle of Life"? That's living and dying. Not being tortured and put through hell and made into food. That's called the food chain, which is something humans made up so we'd feel less guilty when we took all those poor animal's lives for our own selfish wants.
From the lips of a 13 year old.

So according to Anie, we should regard all animals equally, and as such humans should not eat any animals. Keep in mind that humans just so happen to be animals.
So, if all animals are equal, and it's unacceptable for people to eat animals, then why is it acceptable for animals to eat animals?

I want some McDonalds!

I am a great animal lover, do not think that I'm not. Maybe I don't agree with what fast food restaurants do to enable animals to be concerned, but I do not understand where PETA feels that it has the right to supersede the decisions of the parents as to whether or not they want to bring this subject up to their children. Some parents may be answering questions from their children right now that they don't feel are appropriate to answer to children. And of course the boxes are brightly colored and marketed towards children, the meals are for CHILDREN.

It is seemingly hard for me to believe that live chickens are tossed into boiling water. This was said by PETA rep. on Bill O'Reilly, Foxnews. Harder to clean. PETA needs to attack puppy mills in Missouri. Check out Hiway K where 6 chijuajuas and 1 beagle in a little cage. No attention. For what purpose?

how do i get one of those shirts?
Posted by: dave | August 17, 2009 11:40 PM
They are doing nothing but tramatizing the children and possibly creating a child that will end up being abusing animals.
There is a right and wrong way at doing things and turning a fun experience for children into an educational process of slaughter and such is just wrong!
I wouldn't be suprised if several families decides to sue Peta for doctor bills for giving children nightmares and scarring them. I would!!

I would love to take my kids to get a free unhappy meal. Unhappy or happy that poster said free meal. I sure I could get about 10 kids who would love a free meal. Mc Donalds funds many of programs to help children.
