bullfight
At a time when protests of the gruesome Running of the Bulls are making a bigger splash than ever, the sagging global economy is apparently taking a toll on the annual festival as well.

It turns out that bombed bull abusers are scaling back their bar tabs. This means fewer euros for merchants during this year's Running of the Bulls. In the past, these businesses have cashed in on the annual torment and killing of hapless, hopeless bulls. But this year, the global recession means that local businesses won't be making as much of a profit from the misery of the bulls.

Not only that, but according to NPR, polls show that most Spaniards have no interest in bullfighting. In Catalonia alone, nearly 200,000 people have signed a petition asking the regional parliament to ban this barbaric "ritual."

While this is hopefully the beginning of the end for an industry that should have died off with the Spanish Empire, you can save money and animals by doing more than simply tightening your belt. Sign up to take that belt—and the rest of your clothes—off altogether as a member of PETA's Action Team. It won't cost a dime, but the potential to raise awareness is priceless.

These moronic bull abusers should take LSD before they run with bulls. Matadors too ! We'll see how macho these losers are.

Please stop these cruelty, in my city it has stoped but I think is the worst way of killing animals and it has no sense to see them suffer while a stupid person that thinks he is a hero or the best kills them softly while thousands of pleople see it like it was the best

I never understood why anyone would go all the way to Spain to be one of a mob of people being chased by crazed, hurting, frightened bulls.

If it's just for the bragging rights of being near these powerful animals, in my town you can drive up Chapman Ave., park at a biker bar named Cook's Corner, go across the street and take your life in your hands by squeezing through the barbed wire fencing off the pasture. There is a bull out there who would love to make your acquaintance. If you survive this encounter you can crawl back across the street into the bar and order a round while all the bikers are screaming with hysterical laughter.

A typical Sunday would be the best day to do this.

I am all in favour of stopping this cruel, moronic, medieval event.

armenio anastacio; I just read your post... STRONG WORDS.
DUDE \**/ YOU ROCK!
I hope the bull-fighters read your comment; they'll p*** their pants in fear. Bull-fighter's are just RedneckS dressed up like the fags they really are.
This should be stopped long ago.
We need a guy like you to break Mid-evil on their a**** and watch some heads roll.

I think they can revive the interest in this sport! First, a large group of the Spainish people (who support Bull Fighting) run down the street wearing red with their hands cuffed behind them.
Then release the Bulls with no restrains.
Now that would be a show I would pay to see!
