Nice guys, real nice. A man dies and you say "sorry for your lose" then you turn around and attack his company. Is this what you call "respect" attacking a man legacy? could you just say sorry for you lose and leave at that? But noooo you could not you had to use this as a stepping stone to get them to stop selling meatdogs. Peta you make me sick you demand respect for animals but you dont give the respect to the people you ask to go Veg. Thus making a circle of hate.

Somewhere along the old Route 66, there is a fleet of old Cadillacs, buried nose in the dirt, tail end up, in a straight line. Probably a pop art thing. Why don't we do the same with all the Weinermobiles?

However, given your PETA standards, you might not want to emulate that as an example - its creator, Stanley Marsh, is not vegan (at least last time I read about him). Not that he'd care about your comments anyway - he's pretty eccentric and opinionated himself.

I am truly amazed that a country founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ (do your homework...you like digging up other stuff) is more worried about a cow or pig than they are of the millions of unborn that have been murdered daily. It is disgusting to watch what this country will do for their 15 minutes. I'd put a life first before a cow or a tree or same sex marriages or etc...I am sure I have pissed off all Liberals but you bow down to your cow or whatever "other" thing you so desire and I will serve the Lord and Pray for you. That is why men and women are putting their lives up for us; so we can do all these things, right or wrong things. The next time you go to yell real loud about anyone eating meat, look at the nearest child and think about how that child could have been murdered. Which is really more important and which should you be loudest about stopping???

In 1988, I accepted a position with Oscar Mayer to drive the Wienermobile. I went to work for a company that treated its employees like family, encouraged the development of personal talent and ideas and that would, ultimately, provide the springboard that would become the success I enjoy now as a businessman. Indirectly, the gentleman that was Oscar G. Mayer (I had the pleasure of meeting him once, as he was invited to speak at a local Madison elementary school) helped provide for me and my family.

I am indebted to the man, the company, and the wonderful Wienermobile.

Kimberly - I agree, we should be worried about the murder of innocent children and by allowing children to ingest this poison (do your research) you are contributing to the death of these children. By encouraging a healthy, veg diet you are HELPING children. Also I must point out that slaughterhouses are more dangerous than coal mining and is the most dangerous job in the United States (again, do your research). Lastly, crops are being fed to animals and in turn animals are being fed to the wealthiest societies causing children all over the world to starve to death. So while I see your point, you should be both pro-life and pro-veg.
Michelle - No one cares that you don't like PETA and of course they attack the meat industry. It's causing enormous amounts of environmental destruction, not to mention the enormous rise in heart disease and cancer (and of course health care costs!)
Brian - Congratulations on becoming such a successful business man at the expense of animals and humans alike. You should be proud. I think that's what is called "selling your soul".

Ed - have you ever been to PETA? Vegans do not wear leather, that's part of being a vegan. It's called FAKE (also faux) leather and it's not a new discovery. There are even stores, some online, that sell fake leather. And here's another shocker - there's even FAKE fur and I'll be darn, fake meat!

So if you wear fake leather and/or fake fur and eat fake meat (I can only assume it tastes like meat) then are you not reinforcing the industry.
If you like the look of a leather belt and a fur coat and you buy the fake type, isn't that like saying "that sure is mean to kill those animals, but it sure is nice looking."
The same thing applies to fake meat and veggie burgers. I've heard many people tell me that they taste the same as real meat. So you don't eat real meat, you just fantasize about eating meat. Talk about hypocritical.

@ Kurt K: What Steve is saying isn't hypocritical. By buying leather alternatives, faux fur, and meat substitutes, you are showing the world that animals don't have to suffer in order for you to look stylish or for you to enjoy a meal that tastes great (with all the flavor and none of the cholesterol, I might add). You aren't putting money in the pockets of people who are profiting from the suffering of animals, and you are able to show nonvegetarians that it is possible to cut animal suffering out of their lives without making sacrifices.
