It's National Veggie Dog Day! This means that vegetarians across our great nation are pulling out the charcoal and gathering their friends for a summer feast that they won't soon forget. In honor of this year's "holiday," we assembled several of our nation's finest ladies, including Playboy Playmate of the Year—and stunning vegetarian—Jayde Nicole, on Capitol Hill.

Wearing only a lettuce bikini and her 1,000-watt smile, Jayde helped us get our healthy, humane, and tasty veggie dogs to our nation's finest congressmembers. While serving up the "dogs" to politicians and passersby, Jayde reminded each person that "the best way to safeguard your health, reduce your carbon footprint, save animals' lives, and look your very best is to go vegetarian."

Great job, beautiful ladies! I can't think of a man who wouldn't stop to see what they were up to. I'd love a lettuce bikini, too! Hint hint PETA! :)

Who is her friend in the OTHER bikini?

Those bikinis look yummy! I'd love to see them at the web store. Perhaps even a fruit collection? Like cherries, strawberries, grapes etc. I think that would be a hot seller!

Not sure that I'd wear it often but us Australians do enjoy pool parties in Summer and I'd be happy to purchase a lettuce bikini too! Think you could have them in the shop in time for Australian Summer?

I work in the shadow of Parliament House and along with my Canberra veggie-girl buddies would be extremely happy to wear one up there to serve a veggie-dog to our very own "I prefer veggie meals" Prime Minister. (Not quite one of us yet, but he's getting there!)

Hi, I am very into animal welfare but not sure prostituting women is the way to go. The whole playboy gig is about subjigation not liberation, surprised PETA have stooped this low.

lmao, I don't think they are prostituting as the women susan tried to point out. They are donning what any woman with a nice body would wear at the beach. Great good job girls :) Way to go PETA!!

Those girls are beautiful and are a great reminder as to one of the many benefits to adopting a Vegetarian or Vegan diet. Hou RAH :)
