It's been a busy, busy week here at PETA. With so many different campaigns in full swing, we've had people out on the streets protesting the circus, and McDonald's, and the seal slaughter, and … phew. Why don't you just check out the pictures?

ALL ANIMALS Have the Same Parts is my all time favorite!! Gets people talkin'!!

Here are a few of the most *educated* comments we heard last night at the Ringling protest:
5. Do they swat flies too?
4. What about the happiness of a 4-year old?
3. I don't want my kids to see that stuff. (in regard to our signs, but forcing animals to perform ridiculous tricks is alright?)
2. We are just going to pretend that it doesn't happen.
AND THE MOST "EDUCATED" comment heard at the Ringling protest was (wait for it, wait for it....)
1. THE REASON WHY THEY BEAT THEM IS SO THEY WILL DO GOOD TRICKS! (he was holding his kid while he said it and shouted obscenities at us)
I think the above speaks for itself in regard to the type of clientele that attend animal circuses.

Unfortunately you are right, the clientele that attend animal circuses are not educated about these matters. It is very sad, but never give up on trying to educated the non-educated. (if that's a word)

I'm still disappointed that the maple syrup ban is still going despite the fact that the slaughter was ended early and that the world and citizens of my country are really making a move to force my government to end this.

Don't just boycott maple syrup, really read those labels and boycott EVERY Canadian product (I will miss my Silkience but my hair will survive).
The only way Canada will listen is to hit them in the wallet. No more Canadian syup, beer, prescriptions or anything else that comes from north of the border until they stop the slaughter.
After that we'll go to work on the Japanese and the Norwiegans.

Seriously? Those comments only come to show how IGNORANT those kinds of people are, and it's times like those that make me wish those people switched places with the animals.

PLease help our animals. Too much torture and pain! Wouldn't it make you sick?

You know- i really don't understand how hard it is for uneducated people to grasp the concept- ANIMAL CRUELTY! Obviuosly these animals are being hurt and people just let it pass without a second thought. Good job to the people in the pictures for making such a statement!

i wouder how farm animals can be treated like that. just like people are treated in mental hospitals.
when i saw the way the nazis treated the jews in ww2.
no wounder how crule.

Its sad those kids will probabley end up just as "Educated" as thier parent

Those comments are made by ignorant people who are too blind to see how wrong animal circuses; and among other things, are. It's very sad that a lot of people just don't care; very sad indeed. They lack sensitive chips. They pretend it doesn't happen, they are in denial, just with everything else going on in the world. It makes me sad. And to that 'What about the happiness of a 4-year old' comment...there is Circus Soleil and many other things that make a four year old happy. But I guess people rather watch an innocent animal do something against its own will so they can laugh. Pathetic. When I have children I will never bring them to an animal circus and when they ask me 'why' I will tell them the truth. And don't even get me started on the seal slaughter...

Not forgetting Meg that most Canadians themselves hate the massacre...and on the massacre's inevitable end, on the day the Eu announced the ban on seal products Gail Shea was sitting in her local KFC, SLOBBERING WITH RAGE! LOL.

Meg, just on prescriptions, for a minute do you mean prescriptions to treat clinical depression? Now that the seal massacre, is nearing it's end I couldn't help thinking about the numbers of Canadians (and citizens of other nations) afflicted with the condition because of the seal "hunt" and other animal abuses...

I have frequently told my family that they are as smart as lice if they are to eat KFC, but everyone agrees on McDonald's, am I right?

Come on! I don't support circuses, nor the seal slaughter, but I swear that you people here at PETA are off your rockers.
I have four pets: three cats and a snake. They are all well-cared for and loved, and my cats were taken away from abusive homes. Now we share a bond, and my pets are respected like a human. Why take that away from pet owners like us?
And I love eating meat. Are you going to say that human beings - as OMNIVORES - can't have the carnivorous side of their diet because another animal would be in pain? That is the equivalent of saying that a wolf can't go and kill a caribou to feed its family because it might hurt its feelings/what have you.
Some animals are better off in captivity, too, because that's the only place they have left due to human expansion.
PETA, you guys really sounded great, but please refocus and take part of what is very important: saving the animals hurting the most. Chickens may feel pain like we do, and I know that, but they aren't going extinct anytime soon. Do that instead of trying to take away people's pets or harassing the furry fandom's largest convention.
By the way, I am a wolf furry. Just responding to an older post: there would be extreme moral issues if I were to even THINK about using real fur, and that's how it is with all the other furries. The faux fur I use is made out of acrylic.

It's really disgusting, how many murders KFC makes each year, or simply how much money McDonald is able to make with kids!
It's scandalous, but It not seems to change yet...

I keep reading refrence to "uneducated" people...ummm sorry people, but it is a force of highly educated masterminds who have created these huge conglomerates guilty of animal cruelty. KFC Seal Hunts etc.
Please excuse my grammar and spelling im in a rush!!
Lets work on this together
