My motivation to drop pounds is to be a walking advertisement for the vegan lifestyle! If people want to look like me, I can convince them to eat like me!

My motivation to drop pounds is to be an amazing spokesperson for animals. If I am the picture of health then perhaps people will be more likely to partake in a plant-based lifestyle.."Healthy" the IN thing!

My (also vegan) hubby and I haven't seen my family in over 5 years and we're visiting them in September of this year. It would be wonderful to look the same as when we left!

My motivation is simple - lose weight, stay healthy, live forever to fight for animal rights!

I was at McDonalds the other day waiting for my friends to get their food. An older gentleman came up to me and said I was too "good looking" and "too thin" to be putting that garbage in my body. When I explained to him that there was nothing on the menu I could eat as I was a vegan, he laughed and said something like "thank God for vegans then."
I think the key to maintaining a healthy weight is to eat tons of healthy fruits and veggies in place of all the processed junk people put in their bodies.

My motivation to drop some pounds is to help increase my speed when I'm running races...I'm always proud to beat my meat-eating friends and prove that a vegetarian diet is great for atheletes!!

I teach socio-economically challenged gifted and talented 9th graders during the summer. Poor nutrition is an issue for many of them, as it is for me.
I would love to drop a lot of weight to be a model for them. I would model not just a healthy veg lifestyle, but also the tenets I try to instill in my classrooms: perserverance, hard work and self awareness.
We read a lot of great books over the summer and I would love for "The Engine 2 Diet" to be one of them!

My whole family wants to lose some pounds but it's for health reasons. We want to do more things together and to do so we need to be in better shape. I hope this books convinces them to eat better so we can enjoy life more and the animals could enjoy their life more too.

I am dropping pounds this summer by walking on a nature trail in town with my dog everyday. I also became a vegetarian a month ago. I am getting ready for a beach trip at the end of summer.

My motivation for losing weight is to inspire other people to treat their bodies like the temple it is. So many people unknowingly abuse their body through bad foods that are too easily available. I want to be living proof that it is worth the extra effort to eat healthy and organic - I plan to still run marathons in my 80's!

My motivation to drop pounds is just cuz I feel better when I weigh less. I've perused Engine 2 and it's got some great healthy recipes. It would be great to have. Thanks!

Being thin can be healthier, but it doesn't make you a better person. I want to be comfortable in my skin so I can let people see my personality, not how many deserts I skip. I follow a vegan life style so I can fight for justice, and I'm honestly getting a little tired of people who use veganism as a diet.

I have degeneration in two of the disks in my spine and as they get worse my ability to exercise goes down. I am a long time vegetarian/vegan and while this lifestyle has kept me thin and healthy, as I get older and exercise less I am finding that I need to fine tune my eating habits even more.
I would love a new eating plan to help me with this. And, swim suit season is here... :)

I am getting ready for summer by losing the last 60 pounds I have to go.I have already dropped 100 so far and love to tell people I am vegan so that really throws them for a loop when they see how much weight I have lost by changing the way I eat and I am powered by seitan yummy.

My motivation for the summer is to look great for my senior year of high school and to show people that being vegan is an exemplary lifestyle choice!

After seeking mental health treatment for a couple of years, I was finally diagnosed as being bipolar. I've been taking a lot of different medications and one of the major side effects is weight gain. I need help and would love to have my slim body back. Thank You.

My major reason for dropping weight is that I am a diabetic and would like better control of my blood sugar. I do aerobics every day, and walk my dog along Santiago Creek most days. I also swim up to 250 laps in the neighborhood pool. It all helps.

My motivation to lose weight is so I can be more healthy since I have a severe dige stive disorder, live longer so I can continue to help animals, and find a nice vegan boyfriend!

My motivation for becoming vegan was for the animals and the planet. The meat, egg and dairy industries are the biggest producers of greenhouse gasses on the planet. The health benefits are a simply bonus.
