Last week, I shared photos of people across the globe speaking up for seals. Fortunately, many Canadians are also standing up to let the world know that they are opposed to the seal slaughter. Check out these demo photos to see what ashamed Canadians are doing to show that they're not all a bunch of barbaric orcs up north.

Those are some seriously smart kids! These young British Columbia residents can probably relate to the baby seals who are being killed, most of whom are less than 4 weeks old.

They certainly know how to turn heads in London, Ontario.
London Ontario Demo
Multiply that pile of bloody seal babies by 32,000 and you'll almost have the number of seals who will be killed this year.

Vancouver residents are preparing for the 2010 Olympics by illustrating the bloody horror of the seal slaughter.
Vancouver Demo
Add some red ice and a grieving mother seal, and you've got yourself a massacre.

THE SEAL SLAUGHTER IS ATROCIOUS! I BLAME THE GOVERNMENT BUT I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO TAKE PART IN THIS SICK CULL....HAVE THEY NO NORMAL FEELINGS? THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED OUT IN SOCIETY...IF THEY CAN CLUB A BABY SEAL TO DEATH THEN IN MY OPINION THEY ARE A DANGER TO SOCIETY,LOCK THEM UP!! GILLIAN DOWLING

The people of Canada have to
remember that they voted for this scum so they are responsible for their actions!
You are in a dictatorship of your own doing!!

Recall them all!!!

This is something that has been going on for ages and it is going to be very hard to stop. But i wish it would because mistreating an animal is just like mistreating a human.Would people let other people come up to them and bludger there babies to death i don't think so

I know most Canadians are ashamed and here in the US it's like a big secret. This cruel slaughter needs to stop and there needs to be more protests.I pray this is the last year for this butcher of innocent seals.

Inspiring stuff. Keep it up. I can regard the garbage I read on CBC as written by the insecure minority who know it's on the way out. The majority probably haven't got time to comment anyway.

If you can honestly club a baby seal, go to an orphanage and start clubbing children.

Good grief.

I'm Canadian and I definetly do not approve of the annual seal slaughter. However, I do not agree that the Canadians that take part in the seal slaughter are not human. Clubbing seals is a large part of tradition and a major part of the economy in that area. So to get them to stop they need to have another alternative to earn money. Maybe people could donate to them so that they need not club baby seals to earn money? Or create a different industry for the people in northern Canada. Maybe people such as yourselves could take a yearly trip to visit the seals and make it a tourist attraction?

Anyone who can club a baby seal is a total freak!!!! If they need to make an income, they should find another way to do it. I've been poor many times in my life and I've always survived without having to kill baby seals to feed myself.

jennifer.....are you for real? so you think that because the people who are bludgeoning these baby seals to death are doing it for money that somehow makes it ok and they are normal people with normal feelings? i can`t believe anyone would think that way,it is totally illogical.no matter how poor i was i wouldn`t/couldn`t EVER bash a baby seal to death...that is because i am a normal human being who feels compassion and love towards animals...these people obviously lack these emotions and feel no guilt whatsoever...they ARE sick, dangerous individuals and are certainly not HUMAN!! You refer to the act of culling as a JOB....it certainly is not a job.....it is murder and they should be locked up!!!!
