In our fight to get KFC to enact minimal welfare standards for the more than 350 million chickens slaughtered for its U.S. restaurants each year, our supporters have helped us choose billboards and dressed up like the Colonel for Halloween. Now we'd like to ask your help with an even bigger task.
We're filing a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) asking it to take action against KFC for the chain's deliberately deceptive and unfair statements to consumers about the treatment of chickens raised and killed for its buckets and boxes. KFC allows its suppliers to house chickens in crowded sheds—with waste on the floor so thick that the ammonia burns the chickens' skin, feet, eyes, and throats. It allows its suppliers to use a slaughter method in which birds' throats are cut while they are still conscious. A company like that should not be allowed to claim a "commitment to animal welfare."

Please, take the time now to file your own, polite complaint with the FTC about KFC’s false claims of humanity and send this video to 10 friends so they can see just how "humane" KFC chicken really is.

I nearly cried watching this and I tried to feel what the poor chickens did. I wish that it was okay to trample those workers and throw them against walls like they did to the poor chickens!

I am firmly against eating anything with eyes! This video is one of the most disgusting I've ever seen. Even if you eat meat, why such cruelty?! The video shows why I like my animals more than I like most people!

I just dont get it.
Why are people so evil and can do that to a living thing.
I just cant understand how this stuff gose on and one no stops it.
Why?
Sometimes i just wish everyone could can and understand that animals are just like us and they feel pain and have a brain and feel feeling
it's just sad

I pray for animals everyday and ask God that they don't feel any pain. If KFC is involved in what I just witnessed, rest assured I and everyone I now will not be giving them on more penny!!! It is a reality that our world faces and the poor animal suffers. People and businesses like this one will pay the ultimate price later when they face God, until then may God have mercy on all animals.
Peace and love, KW in Ohio

I have been doing KFC demos for the last 3-4 years in San Francisco and Marin County.
Now, KFC has just given our city (Petaluma, CA) a whopping $3,000.00 to help fix the potholes in Petaluma. These slimebags are going to put their advertisement over every pothole that is fixed so they get free advertising. Thankfully it is chalk and temporary.
We had alreay planned to start doing demos at this location, now we're really excited about doing them! So if it really bothers you, the horrific way these animals are treated, get out and organize a demo in your town! They're very effective and brings great awareness to this issue. PETA supplied all the signs, literature etc.

PETA SHOULD REALLY WRITE A SONG ABOUT THIS. LIKE FOR EXAMPLE: 'F**K U!'... 'F**K U, WE HATE WHAT U DO. THE THINGS U DO, YOU SHOULD REALLY SUED.' :)
IT WOULD BE GREAT. GET LIKE A SINGER (VEGETARIAN) THIS PISSES ME OFF OF WHAT THESE A**ES DO. I'D BE GLAD TO WRITE A SONG. :)
I LOVE U PETA! YOU GUYS ROCK.
F**K KFC!!!!

I could not watch this after a certain time. What does it say about someone who is openly cruel to an animal, torture, slaughter, cut and/or beat the chicken or any surviving being. I don't know if I am for 'eye for an eye' or simply, educate and start again. These sorts of people are made, surely not born. Should we tie these people up and swing them against a brick wall? Will that teach them? I do not think so. Some of them have an innate belief to conquer another bieng by torture and distress - what goes around will come around, they just will not see it come.

I will never eat a piece of meat as long as I live. How could I think I am concerned with the rights of animals and still eat them?
Posted by: robert | April 15, 2009 12:55 AM
I will never eat there again after watching that horriable way they kill those poor chickens, and there prices are too high, $1.95 for a chicken leg, they make 40 dollars from 20 chicken legs from people is a rip off which at the store costs around 6 bucks. Goodybye KFC. I hope you go out of business, you just lost another customer.
