Iggy Pop Urges College to Stay Circus-Free

The university has made the compassionate decision to ban circuses on campus this year after learning that elephants, tigers, and other animals are beaten and forced to perform under the big top. After Iggy Pop heard the news, he wrote a letter to the school in support of the students' proposal to make the ban permanent.

I wanted to thank Iggy Pop for his contribution to ending the circus at MSU this (and hopefully future) years. I didn't know how to contact him directly, but hopefully he will see this. Thank you so much ... on behalf of the animals ... Iggy! You really DO rock!

The very few times I have attended the circus the animals looked so miserable I never wanted to go back.
