No, she's not thinking about having any more babies (at least as far as we know). She's considering bringing a pig into her home.
Actually, into her home isn't quite correct. She wants to buy a pig, put a diaper on him or her, and have him or her live outside—because of the smell.
Pigs are intelligent, social creatures with complex needs. Throwing such a sensitive animal into a mix of 14 kids who won't understand him or her—and expecting him or her to live outside—is no way to treat a family companion.
So, we've written Nadya to ask her to reconsider her plans. Instead of adding another mouth to feed, we hope that she'll focus on the 14 that she already has.
And if compassion doesn't change her mind, hopefully the fear of pig flu will.

Can PETA arrange for this stupid POS to be spayed? She obviously already had a lobotomy, so let's just get her fixed.

I am at a loss for words. She shouldn't be allowed to have ANY kids.

I wouldn't find it wrong for the pig to live outside as long as it is properly taken care of and has lots of exercise. Pigs, like most other animals are meant to live outside, unless you bring something like a cat or most dogs, well most domesticated pets don't belong outside. But if she does get a pig and can take care of it, which I doubt she'll end up getting anyways, then let her.

Really??? I honestly thought this was a joke. What is wrong with this woman? She should be putting all her efforts into her children. If she goes through with this, this poor little pig will almost certainly be forgotten about and left to fend for itself. I think this is a huge mistake and I am happy to hear PETA is reaching out to to ask her to reconsider.

Is she nuts? anybody with enough sense would NOT get a pig if they have 14 kids. I don't care if she has a condition, she does NOT need anymore young. She obviously doesn't care that she has underweight babies and the fact that she probabaly can't buy all of those diaprs by herself!!! Sheeesh!

This woman doesn't need to have an animal to care for, since she can barely comprehend what it means to take care of a human being.
The fact that everyone is treating HER like a hapless baby, under the guise of helping her kids, is what disgusts me.
The kids deserve a proper life, they should have been sent to foster care. Then the media could stop poor little babying Nadia, instead of spoiling the brat.

WOW! thats all i can say!

I think Nadia may be a hoarder; she seems to display all of the symptoms, only in her case it's been children up to now, not animals. Since she knows no adoption or foster care agency would trust children to her care she did what she could to have her own. With 8 new babies I would not recommend she get any pets at this time, but in a few years when her oldest children are able to help around the house, I would suggest she adopt an adult dog from a shelter, one with a calm disposition that is okay with having a lot of children around.

This woman needs a freakin hobby or something! Aparently 14 kids isn't enough, what is she superwoman?! I have 2 kids and 2 dogs and I feel like my plate is full, I know when to stop having babies and animals. It wouldn't be fair to bring any animal into that home because she's not going to have enough time for it. I would have hundreds of animals if I could but I know it wouldn't be fair because they need the same amount of attention that a child does. She needs to realize that she's got enough to deal with.

For the love of god I don't know whats more sad?
The fact that she became a media sensation, the fact that she wants a pig now, or the fact that the last sentence in this article negates the Think About It Woof campaign?
I mean think about it? Who would want a pig for a pet who can take care of it if they can possibly get the swine flu?

Huh? She wants a pig, too? and she wants it to wear a diaper? Like anyone is going to let this happen
This woman is seriously disturbed. I hope she gets help.

This also reminds me of an episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 where they got 2 puppies. Because apparently the responsibility of taking care of 8 children isn't enough.
I get that they want the kids to get something out of it, the love and stuff, but fish would have been a better choice. Both children and dogs could be dangerous to one another, especially with 8 kids and only 2 dogs. There's my 2 cents.

Y DOES SHE WANT A PIG???!!!
Posted by: Sophia | April 29, 2009 08:54 PM
By what I've read in the paper lately about this idiot, she should definitely buy the pig and have it take care of the kiddos and have here retarted a** stay outside. Pigs are far more intelligent than this moron and we definitely take better care of her kids. What an idiot! Makes me want to move to another country!

actually she said she wants a dog. a "teacup pom"

Are you kidding, PETA? Seriously? "fear of the pig flu"?! Not only is this article asinine and completely pointless, but you're 100% incorrect in referring to the H1N1 flu virus as the "pig flu". First, there is no case of this particular virus being found in a pig at all, and secondly, the virus is a HYBRID of human, swine, and avian components. Honestly, it's disgraceful that you allow people who are uneducated about the way animal agriculture REALLY works to believe you and follow you so blindly.

Is there an animal cruelty news areana that cares about large scale localized issues? Peta covering this garbage is really turning me off coming here. What next? Lindsey Lohan blows her nose too close to a Panda?

So, who will pay for this pig? The State of California? Who does she think she is? Some sort of empress who commands people to do her every wish? Absolutely no one should sell her a pig, or a dog, or a cat, or any other animal. This Octomom is a freak of nature and needs to be locked up in a psychiatric ward.

with 15 kids you have 0 times to give to a pet... I have 1 kid and 12 animals (7 cat (1 that I'm catsitting for a year, 3 that will go to good famillies as soon as they are old enough which are the babies of the cat I'm catsitting (which pisses me off quite a bit I could have used these families for rescue cats!!!), 1 dog, 2 degus, 1 mouse and 1 squirrel that we will set free as soon as he is old enough to live on his own) and the idea of adding even 1 more being to my family seems completely ridiculous and we are 2 adults taking care of all those little ones... For god sake cant this woman realise that you CAN stop growing your family?
