I would love to give a shout-out to the whistleblowers, the good people who know they are seeing something wrong done at their workplaces, and have the guts to report it.

These are often the unsung heroes, the compassionate and honest citizens who make the difference.

I would just like to point out that what was seen on the hbo special was an isolated incident and shouldn't be judged on all farms.......as a current farm employee i seen many bad management practices on the wiles farm but can honestly say that on all the farms i have ever been to i have never seen anything that would come even close to the bad choices made on this farm....we do our business so people can eat not to harm the animals

My husband, two daughters 13 & 11 and I were brought to tears and enraged by what we had viewed of human beings showing no emotion and/or thought as to what they were doing to one of Gods creatures. These animals are like humans, they feel just like we feel, they bleed just like we bleed. Why anyone in there right mind would handle any living creature in this way is unacceptable and should be punished by law. My heart goes out to each one of the hogs living or deceased, I ask God to relieve them of all suffering that they may endure while in the unsafe farm conditions of the Wiles family and it's employees. May the Lord bless them and keep them so that we as a people will continue to do the Lords will and speak on their behalf. Lastly I pray for the Wiles family, that the Lord may have mercy on there souls. In addition, I have concerns as to why this family/employee was able to walk away without a conviction for animal cruelty (hanging) when these sows were put in the position of being malnourished and unable to function on there own,causing them to lose legs, or bleed to death. In addition to cases the video and pictures shown on HBO; show hogs eating other hogs. What makes this any different from the dog fighting allegations/charges that lead to the conviction of Michael Vick?? How do we as a people let any animal suffer as these hogs are continuing to suffer on the Wiles farm, how do the people of PETA sleep at night knowing that they could have fought just as hard as they fought against the Vick case to get a justifiable conviction. Both of these cases were being investigated during the same time, why is the media just airing this and why not during the time of the Vick case? Where are the protesters for the hogs, are the hogs rights less important then the life of the dogs in the Michael Vick Case? What is PETA doing to insure that this does not continue at the Wiley's farm. During the show there were statements made that what we saw is how the Wiley's make a living; does that make it ok to abuse animals, if that is true then wouldn't dog fighting be considered as a way to make a living as well?

Mr. Wiles (& "his farm") are the perfect example of human greed & ignorance.
To my knowledege, if an animal or human is hurting,they will struggle & scream. This does not require a degree...it's just good old common sense!
THOSE PIGS & HOGS ALL SUFFERED HORRIBLY! Those that run the farm are COWARDS...completely clueless to compassion.

Hats off to Pete and his work on the Factory Farm! Even though the payoff may have seemed small, that footage will forever be implanted in the minds of others. At least those with a conscience.
What concerns me is the people who thought that there was no harm done to the pigs that squeal in pain and terror. If they are that emotionally closed off with an everyday persona of apathy, what would they do to a child, a wife, a neighbor, etc.? These are the monsters that not only harm animals, but portray to be community stellars, but in reality are lurking in the darkness of other hidden atrocities... and probably not with a pig.

What an incredible miscarriage of justice! Clearly there is animal cruelty going on at that farm! I hope that this video is successful in raising awareness of the horrors of factory farming (it's not just this farm). Thanks to "Pete" and others for going undercover on these farms and speaking for the animals.

I watched most of the show, but I was so sad & angry I couldn't finish watching it. I am completely vegan, and I hope people who eat meat watched this program, and realized the horrors that they support. No meat is produced without death & suffering. The only way for this to stop is to go vegan. Hats off to Pete & all the heros that fight for animal justice!!

After seeing this documentary, I have decided to give up pork. Although I am a meat lover, I refuse to give my money to people that treat animals this ways. It's dispicable. I'm also trying to give up all other meats as well.

This show is making me turn away from eating animals. Too bad we can't count on farms not treating animals in such a manner. I am not sure how I am going to make this change... But today was day one.

I watched this and cried. It was horrible. I made a vow to myself that I will never eat meat again. I will not support nor line their pockets with my money so they can keep abusing these animals. My life has been changed for the better thanks to this show.

All I have to say all those people you managed, owned, and worked at the farm, should be very ashamed of their selves. I couldn't believe my eyes what I saw. They treated these helpless animals like non human like. Those people should be put away for a long time. throwing the innocent baby pigs around. How dare you. Hope these people one day get the same treatment that the poor animals did. They sure deserve it.

these people make me sick. The things that go through my mind, the things i want to do to these people....

I know the only way to do it is the honorable way but it is the hardest. You are a couragous person to be able to watch such f*cked up things happening and not beat the people to death. i would.

F*ck every person who supports this massacre from meat eaters to the people who run the farm to the financial supporters. may you all burn in hell if you believe in it because you have sinned.

This took incredible bravery to film. I will never look at meat the same way, or want to eat it. My heart is broken for these animals, and every other animal we consume..I can't get what i saw out of my mind, Job well done.
