Nice!

The more I learn about apes and the entire animal kingdom being abused by humans; I begin to have faith in the fall of man theology. Prior to the fall man was vegetarian (Genesis 1:29) and lived in peaceful coexistence with all God's other creatures as a benevolent steward of the earth. After man's intentional fall from grace evil dominated the planet evidenced by wars, murders and the genocide of our fellow creatures.

I love a man who knows his Bible and how to use it to teach others. Keep reading and teaching, Brien!!

I think this photo is AWESOME!
And I don't believe in evolution so I think it's even funnier.

Very clever!

This is awesome! Good one, Jeff.

Well actually Men and animals lived together until after the flood...at which point God instills the fear of man into the animals...See Genesis 9

1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. 3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Just throwing that out there.

Thankfully the Prophet Isaiah envisions messianic times to be a veritable restoration of Eden wherein "no one shall hurt nor destroy in all God's holy mountain." (Isaiah 11:9)

wow i really love this!

We have some wonderful Bible readers out there, God bless all of you!

I have always believed that we need to teach what the Bible says about animals and our stewardship of the earth in Bible and Sunday School classes.

I live in an area full of fundies. I can't count the times I've heard "God put them animals hear for you to eat."

For the sake of the animals, I can't say, "God also forced entire villages to cannibalize their children. Who ya gonna trust?"

So, thanks for some biblical ammunition.

Dave, don't believe it. It is a lie. God is not a God of confusion. Lies and confusion are from hell. It makes no sense that God would speak to Noah and tell him to pack all the food stuff for the people and the animals, instruct Noah to the centimeter of the boat (design), just to ultimately short change him with the food supply. God doesn't make mistakes like that. In Jewish texts they indicate that some really naughty things were going on, on that boat and they were cursed. I happen to believe that someone got on that boat that wasn't supposed to be there. Whatever, perhaps they or "someone" did kill and eat an animal on that boat, but they were not instructed to eat the animals. And they were cursed. The church even to this day teaches, that scripture that you referenced, as if that were Gods Will or intention for us to eat animals. Clearly in examining the entire text that is not the case.

Moses is widely accepted as the author of those first five books of the Bible known as the Torah. But Moses lived, minimum, five hundred years after Noah's death. So Moses is interpreting RAMA WORDS FROM GOD (supposedly) given to Noah. That's a big stretch, don't you think? Not only that, Moses fell out of favor with God for misrepresenting, speaking unwisely, making false declarations, and Moses died. If in fact Moses did write those things. It doesn't make sense in the big picture. It's as if someone cut and pasted that into the text.

God offered the ungrateful Israelites Manna from Heaven. Remember that? But that wasn't good enough. They wanted more. Maybe Moses gave it to them. They were cursed.

This depicts the extremely sad, hypicritical horror that is taking place today. We ARE all animals yet we have become "species-ists". We ALL evolved from the sea. I recommend the movie--Earthlings.

i'm a believer... in evolution that is. Climate change and global warming is a reality, just like evolution is a reality.

Posted by: vegancoin | February 27, 2009 12:56 PM

I believe in evolution so I really think this is really smart and SO true. Scientists that believe in evolution are so hypocritical. They believe we used to be monkeys yet they get them and stick them with injections that are not fully safe. I'm guess they could say that they are more closer to humans so it would be more accurate to test on them but then why don't they just test on humans. Some humans even want to be tested on :@

Brilliant, Jeff!

Posted by: lynda downie | February 27, 2009 10:16 PM

The theory of evolution has was created in the 1800s. It's now a simple fact. I'm suprised at people who still use folk tales and mythical stories to explain what science has already proven and I'm shocked at how many people actually believe this. We are not going to move forward until people educate themselves about science. Why not understand both aspects before making decisions? Skip church one Sunday and read a NON-FICTION book. I spent a lot of time going through the rituals, even going to a religious college. Take from it what you want as long as it's going to make you a better person but don't use religion as justification to eat meat because Jesus did or God said we should. What I've learned is that the bible should not be translated litterally.

Posted by: Greg | February 28, 2009 07:33 AM

The bible also says that women who are on their periods are unclean until eight days after they finish menstruating, when they become clean again by taking two doves to a priest for sacrifice. Anything they touch before then is unclean. During that time she apparently doesn't belong to the Lord. (Leviticus 15:19-32)

Where do we draw the line with the bible? I believe in God and Evolution, but not the bible. It was written by people, and could've been changed. Besides, we disregard the majority of it anyways! I'm not saying I'm for eating meat or vivisection or whatever, but I'm against it for other reasons, such as it being blatantly obvious to me that animals are intelligent, thinking, caring beings with every bit as much soul and personality as humans.

Back to the point of this thread, this is a brilliant depiction of what man has become. Whatever God planned for us to become, we sure disappointed him.

Yes Lisa, Only Women Bleed. If a woman does not bleed, she cannot give life. Blood is not dirty, it is HOLY.

The book of Leviticus is the biggest FRAUD in human history. I don't believe for a second that Moses wrote all of that junk, unless he was drunk or on mushrooms. It was written by "Liars whose consciences are seared" "Whitewashed tombs full of dead men's bones" Self-serving men who were jealous of Moses's favor with God.

You know I don't think anyone can argue that the Iraelites were not cursed and the Bible says that the "curse causeless does not come" What happened to the Israelites after the Noah fiasco? What happen to them after they libeled and slandered Moses? What happened to them after they sprung Barrabas instead of Jesus Christ? They were treated lower then beasts. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

P.S. No where in the Bible does it say that Jesus consumed the blood of beasts.

Posted by: Saucy | March 2, 2009 05:28 PM

I would accept it more if it made sense. We did not descend from apes, we descended from Homo habilis.

Posted by: Rick | March 4, 2009 10:55 PM

Wow Saucy, I like how you can pick and choose what you want out of the Bible.
So if you agree with it, then it must be right. But if you don't then the person who wrote it is drunk, high or evil.
You're starting to sound like the typical "tolerant" liberal.

Kurt K.

Peta won't print what I really think of you. So I'll give you the PG version.

I hope you eat those foolhearty words and I hope your life is consumed with the strife that you bring to these pages.

Posted by: Saucy | March 6, 2009 12:23 PM

good points Saucy. The bible is nothing but a sorry collection of hypocritical mishmosh, only fur the complacently dull minded and religiously weak of heart.

Posted by: vegancoin | March 6, 2009 01:03 PM

And PS

Jesus was a Liberal and a Socialist...............So there!

Posted by: Saucy | March 6, 2009 03:32 PM

Saucy, Veagncoin,
So much anger! Talk about being consumed with strife, maybe you should look at yourselves.
I'm very happy with my life, I understand my place on this earth and I am going to live the way I want to live.
I have my beliefs and you have yours. I don't judge you, so you have no right to judge me.

Posted by: Kurt K | March 6, 2009 04:19 PM

Thanks vegancoin for your kind words and encouragement. It's not entirely Kurt K's. fault, being dull minded and all. That's the same ole tired argument the religiously confused having been putting out for years. They can't handle the TRUTH. Everytime they don't have an answer, it's "your just picking and choosing"

No; Kirt K. I actually have a brain, it's in my head, sits on my shoulders, it's connected to my torso that contains my heart and stomach, branching out from there are my limbs.

My brain enables me to think. For myself. To read and process information. To discern good from evil. Thank God for Discernment.

My Spirit recieves revealation. Thank God for Revealation.

My eyeballs locate my laptop. Thank God for Vision.

And finally, my fingers begin to type.

No problem Saucy. It's painfully obvious to me and probably anyone else with the barest amount of compassion that many come here only to foist dissent and exceedingly dull and obtuse conjecture, as part of a "hidden" agenda, also only here to hate upon ARAs and PETA folk, and are totally unable to speak his/her mind. Honesty just isn't part of the equation.

Posted by: vegancoin | March 13, 2009 10:48 AM

Hidden agenda? I don't know what else I can hide.
Again, I only write on posts that I feel are hateful and/or propaganda against my beliefs.
Just as you feel it is necessary to voice your disapproval against those like me, I feel I must voice my disapproval of people like you.
Its the first admendment, welcome to America!
