I had tears of joy in my eyes after seeing this. The only sad thing is, elephants can live to be in their 60's and dogs maybe early teens so even though I don't know the ages of these wonderful friends, when Bella passes on, I hope Tara can find a new best friend and won't die of a broken heart. Elephants are my favorite animal and God bless the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.

I cried, I hate ringling brothers. People should never attend circuses with wild animals. What we do to them for sole entertainment is cruel and inhumane

We're all the same: Emotional beings under the same sun,in the same boat,& we all have the right to live.

How moving, it's heart breaking to think how terrible elephants are treated by man and how they are capable of emotions so similar to our own!

I saw this video first on the Ellen Show and brought me to tears.

I learnt about the Elephant Sanctuary several years ago and have visited their website almost every day since to follow the progress of the elephants. It's wonderful to see them come from such miserable conditions to an environment where they are free to do as they wish and where they can finally be happy. The bonds they form with their fellow elephants (and clearly the other species at the sanctuary) is heartwarming to see. The staff seem so patient with the animals and the work they do is amazing.

In the UK I campaign against a circus that has the last elephant and although she is 'retired' she is still chained and confined to a tiny enclosure when she's not being paraded around the ring for photo opportunities with the public. Her owners maintain they love her but if they truly did they'd want to see her in a place like the Elephant Sanctuary where she could experience the next best thing to being in the wild.

I just watched this video for the first time and my heart just melted at the sight of these two and the friendship they share. What further proof could we possibly need in order to recognize the sentience of animals?

This video broke my heart in a good way. Not only do we need to stop violence towards other humans but towards other species.

Awesome. I've been arguing with an animal tester that animals have feelings and can suffer. She says different .This proves my point

Such a beautiful video. A perfect display of deep emotions that develop between animals. They feel for one another just as humans do. That is a something that a lot of people still have to learn unfortunately.
