PETA Warns of Dangerous Predators in Water

The enormous number of sharks has forced the beaches to close—but they've also drawn a swarm of gawkers and media cameras. And you have to know that wherever gawkers and media cameras can be found, PETA can't be far away. Yup, we've hired a plane to fly up and down the oceanfront tomorrow bearing the message, "Sharks aren't the only dangerous predators. Go vegetarian."
Every year, more than 50 million sharks and billions of other sea animals are killed and eaten by human beings—in contrast, fewer than a dozen people worldwide were killed by sharks last year. Many species of sharks and other fish have been decimated by overfishing—it's estimated that 29 percent of fish species have "collapsed," or declined by 90 percent over the past 50 years.
That's why we're making the case that the world's most dangerous predators aren't in the water at all—they're lined up at the all-you-can-eat seafood buffet.

And how exactly is this not in poor taste considering vegans/vegeterians aren't immune to getting attacked by sharks?

Maybe not in my lifetime but maybe the next life time, I'm pretty sure millions of animals and sea animals are going to be endangered!

totally different subject, but i have to comment on how intelligent mice are... i have a small mouse problem and i can't seem to encourage them to leave, despite having everything edible packed away in containers... meanwhile i have noticed that these mice are planning their city in my kitchen, they even have a new garbage dump!!! recently i noticed that they are putting all their rubbish in a corner of the kitchen (there is no hole in the wall in this area, they aren't living in this stuff)... i didn't really think much of the fluff they are leaving there until today i noticed their new pile (i clean it every day of course), has the remains of one of their loved ones in it???? they are yet to master embalming. but how crazy is this, out of nowhere is the at least 2 month old remains of a mouse (just a little skeleton)... the problem is driving me crazy but at least they are entertaining

I do find it funny, that if a animal kills one person its an all out hunt to kill that animal. But yet people kill animals just for fun and they get a small fine of say $100.

I strongly suggest everyone who gives a damn about animals to rent (or buy) the movie ''Sharkwater'',you will not believe your eyes and you will understand that WE are the most dangerous predators on the planet....seriously,we make Jaws look like a really sweet fish!

thanks for the heartwarming story nicole. Yes rats and mice are amazing animals and very intelligent.

That is a rather bland dull contribution. Another case of out of sight out of mind, indifference seems to be the order of the day. Besides, "poor taste" is in the eye of the beholder.

I wasn't objecting to the message that was trying to be made or denying the fact that fish are getting the bad end of the shaft lately but I'm just saying for people who were accutally attacked by sharks they might take it as a kick in the privates.
Also sorry for spamming if I did my computer is on the fritz.

The world shark population has reached danger point because of illegal finning so that the Chinese can eat the status high shark fin soup. Sharks have their fins cut off and are then thrown back alive to an agonizing death in the sea. Sharks are top predators and without them the whole balance of the seas will compromised for ever.
