Bonnie Jill Laflin
When former Dallas cheerleader and sports broadcaster Bonnie Jill Laflin discovered that a Tennessee Titans cheerleader was involved in the gruesome animal testing biz, she got out more than her pom-poms! It was discovered recently that Titans cheerleader Melissa Hodges is working in an animal laboratory at Vanderbilt University's Kennedy Center, and according to the Nashville Scene, Hodges guillotines rats, among other acts. So Laflin has penned a powerful letter to her fellow spirit squadder.

Click here to read Laflin's full letter.

Laflin has graced PETA ad campaigns with her sexy (naked) body in support of vegetarian living and against rodeo cruelty. She also has a big place in her heart for the animals used (and abused) in experiments.

Hopefully, Hodges will be big enough to have a change of heart and take her career to a different, cruelty-free level. I mean, heck, when a woman like this tells you to jump, you just ask how high.

Melissa Hodges is a sick individual. You have to be to behead animals. Animal cruelty is bad karma for this heartless girl. Hopefully she will listen to the much wiser and kinder Bonnie Jill Laflin.

Great letter, Bonnie-Jill! Compassionate and so-very-hot—does it get any better?!?

I guess I can't understand what would make a person decide to do this sort of thing for a living. There are so many other worthwile careers in the medical field. Their brains must be wired differently then other people.

Great letter! Speaking of animals in laboratories, my friends are in the midst of dissection at their schools, and they think it's all cool and gross. Boy, did they get an earful from me. =)

How incredibly disturbing it is that the authors of the Nashville article were aroused by the thought of Melissa Hodges chopping off the heads of mice... WTF?!?!
Great letter by Bonnie Jill Laflin!!

Thank you Bonnie!!! I moved to TN 11 years ago from VA and TN has the worst animal laws. They don't care about animals or protecting them! The TN Titan cheerleaders should be suspended. I am planning to move this year. I want to work with animals and help them. Like I said, TN is the worst state ever!

I am a Marine Biology student, so I am familar with labs. HOWEVER, I have NEVER done any tests or experiments on any animal. The purpose of the my type of science, is to study and preserve the life we have on this planet. NOT DESTROY IT. I mean, come on who the hell cares about the effects of cocaine on the brain? Our exsitence does NOT depend on this. People do stupid shit and call is science. Which gives the scientific community as VERY bad name. The scientific community has the knowledge and the resourses to help the stop the harmful effects of Global Warming, we can save the animals on the brink of extinction, we can keep the ocean beautiful. Yet, people bail out and go for the jobs that give the most $$ not for the ones that can actually make a difference. Its pathetic.

Excellent letter! She's so nice.

I don't understand how people can torture animals and think nothing of it. They must have severe mental probs.

Honestly, how can you just behead something. Even if I would lose my job I simply couldn't do it - to a mouse, rat, cat anything like that. It takes a certain kind of individual to work and do that type of work day in and day out. Makes you wonder why PETA is pushing for a brain scan on Michael Vick, maybe we should look at the animal testers and slaughterhouse workers.
