Given how the woman is holding the cat, it's possible she believes animals are completely disposable and can be ditched at the shelter.

oook thanks.

that is true, people tend to think animals simply as "just an animal" or a thing that can be given as gifts; its sickening. Pets are for life, they are part of the family.
I love animal shelters: they do so much for poor innocent animals who have done no wrong, with owners who have the problem.

Animals offer us unconditional love. The lady in the above cartoon is proposing that the cat's love had conditions.

Yeah, animals are expected to love us no matter how we treat them (which they usually do).

Thanks to this awesome and wonderful website, I have become much more aware of bad products and I became a vegetarian! That lady in the comic, and people like her, don't deserve to own an animal, only people who actually have a heart.
I volunteer at a shelter and i know that an animals do give unconditional love, I've wanted many cats from the shelter:)

GO PeTA!
