We're not the only ones who are severely frustrated about Giorgio Armani's failure to keep his word and remain fur-free! Sir Paul McCartney—pictured here with Giorgio at one of Stella McCartney's fashion shows—is the latest to respond to PETA's action alert.

Sir Paul is adding his voice to a chorus of celebrities who are upset over Armani's penchant for rabbit pelts—celebrities such as the Andersons (Gillian and Pamela, no relation). These lovely ladies kicked off PETA's "Get Armani off Fur" campaign—Pam hosted a PETA launch event during Fashion Week in Italy, and Gillian narrated PETA's horrific rabbit fur farm exposé.

We hope that Sir Paul, Gillian, and Pam won't be the only famous voices to speak up against Armani's fur fixation. PETA Vice President Dan Mathews has written to many Armani-wearing stars, including Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Glenn Close, and Cate Blanchett, urging them to use their influence with the designer to get him to keep his fur-free pledge.

Oh yeah, and one other thing Dan did—remember that "Pinocchio Armani" ad? Well, Dan unveiled the new posters outside Armani's flagship store in Milan this week. Here he is with a local activist there—check out those giant rabbits!

Those big bunnies are just two blocks from Armani's store—I guess they'll be keeping an eye on him … and so will we! Stay tuned for more Armani news—and don't forget to take action!

I stroke fur each day!!.. it's soft and fluffy and warm too.. that's becuase it's still on its owners body !.. my pet dog a mini schnauzer.. this is where ALL FURS BELONG!!! ie. on THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS!!!! these animals have furry bodies to keep themsleves warm esp during the colder climes.. their furs are not to be ripped off their bodies for so and so vain fashion production house to cut and shape into lord knows what frivolous fashion.. that means Armani and et al etc. ?? or for even more dumb vacuous women to drape their already clothed bodies with extra or superfluous fur.. for SHEER VANITY sakes.. when I look or see these vacuous fur wearers.. I feel as though I want to vomit!!

He's such a marvelous person. I'm glad he's also protesting Armani.
FUR- WORN BY BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS AND UGLY PEOPLE.

Behind every beautiful fur there is a bloody, barbaric story.

To a man whose mind is free there is something even more intolerable in the sufferings of animals than in the sufferings of man.

For with the latter it is at least admitted that suffering is evil and that the man who causes it is a criminal but thousands of animals are uselessly butchered every day without a shadow of remorse.

If any man were to refer to it, he would be thought ridiculous and THAT is the unpardonable crime.

In their behavior toward creatures all men are Nazis. Human beings see oppression vividly when they're the victims otherwise they victimize blindly and WITHOUT a thought.

The SOUL is the same in ALL living creatures
although the body of EACH is different.
Non-violence leads to the HIGHEST ethics
which IS the goal of ALL evolution.

Until we stop harming ALL OTHER living beings
we are STILL savages
and as long as there are slaughterhouses
there WILL BE battlefields.

God Bless The Beasts

PEACE, LOVE & TRUTH

Thanks to Sir Paul this world is a bit better - and because of Armani it's a bit worse! But i'm sure that the good will win and one day we shall overcome and no animal has to die anymore for it's fur because the fur belongs to the animal and not to heart- and brainless criminals who just want to make their dirty money on the back of other creatures! for this i love and honor Sir Paul - he is a lighthouse for the world!

I just wanted to say the comment by jessica is in spanish and she is asking people to come together to urge China's goverment to have a law in favor for animals. That something needs to be done and wants to start a group to help animals.

I dont know?? Does PeTa have a website I can refer the spanish speaking public to who are interersted in helping animals??

This is so sickening -
I can't believe that people are actually doing this to animals. I'm sure that would also be the reaction of most people since I don't think most people would want this to happen to any animals, so we have to get the word out - to friends, co-workers, etc.
Thank you PETA for all that you do. Every time I watch a video, it makes me cry. The ability of your photographers to get the video of animals being tortured amazes me, but without these videos, people wouldn't know how horrific it is. I hope and pray that the torture of animals stops soon.

Well - yet another designer proves there is blood on their money.
Hit him where it hurts - do not buy....do not support anyone who buys off animal abusers....(that is what he is).
Bycott all celebs who wear fur and knowingly buy from designers who actively keep this wicked trade....All fur should be banned....even if you believe it is fake fur...it more than likely is from China fur trade.

Sir Paul Thanks for being such a good person and help the helpless animals.

Giorgio Armani think about the suffering and the horror that the poor animals are, they are helpless and you cant joins us in this struggle against the Chinese government ..

I can not believe that an intelligent and creative man dont have alternatives..

Every time I see a video torturing animals I start to cry and I am sick only to think how people are poor and insensitive ..

Animals are our best friends, are intelligent and have feelings just like us ...

I would like to help PETA in whatever it takes to fight this torture that animals are going true...

The cool thing about the spanish news is that they show footages on animals been killed for fur and mention the designers that are still using them, therefore they keep the latin people aware of the cruelty. They showed it last weekend on Pinnochio Armani. They actually showed the footage of a rabbit being hugged and the skins on the floor. I did not want to watch that but they showed it, Also last time they showed on raccoon dogs in china being skinned alive. Thank You Primer Impacto for showing these videos and urging us latinos to make a difference against the use of fur. Maybe 'cause Jho still uses fur. By the way they also mention PETA alot in there, they deserve a thank you. Also in Rojo Vivo.

I love Paul...such a beautiful human being. If all of Paul's fans would speak up against animal cruelty, I feel it would make the world a happier place for our fellow creatures. Let's all lend our voices to end animal cruelty everywhere!!!

We get most of our fur from China. They poisoned pets from the U.S. with melamine. Melamine was added to the food of their own children. Why would anyone think they would be humane toward animals used for fur?

Posted by: L. Quinn | October 24, 2008 07:19 PM

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! OMG I love Sir Paul so much, I just love him even MORE for this!!!!

Posted by: Suzie | April 3, 2009 03:32 PM

Giving congratulations for Paul is to make trip over the obvious, he is fantastic and also some others around the world. God gave the animals to serve the men, to live under their responsebility and orders, but to be respected.
