Russell has lent his tremendous star power to many worthy PETA causes. He's stood up for dogs and against dogfighting, he's a vegetarian who wants to kick KFC's bucket, and he spoke out against foie gras last year.
So, not only is Russell generous to the five charities he personally heads—that's right, five—he's always got time to help animals.
So congratulations, Russell! You are one icon well deserving of an award.

I love Russell and I think he's an amazing person. I wonder if Russell has vioced his opinions to his ex-wife Kamora Lee Simons about using any fur or leather in his brand Phat Farm since she has now taken over the name... Just a thought... I mean I know he doesn't own the "name" anymore and saying anything to her about not using fur or leather would not be "fabulous" to her LOL
Love you Russell but Kamora drives me nutty sometimes :)

I love Russell too but it really surprises me that he's the only member of his family (to my knowledge) that cares about animals at all. Not just Kimora (yeah I know they arent together anymore), but I turned into an episode of Run's House and it horrified me to see the entire family wearing furs.
