To help create buzz about the connection between meat consumption and high gas prices, PETA's sexy Lettuce Ladies are back on the road again giving away free gas (and vegan sandwiches) to people at gas stations around the country. In support of their efforts, The PETA Files is giving away BP gas cards to two loyal readers. (See the form below. That's where you enter.)

What does gas for your car have to do with veggies for your stomach? Did ya know that eating just a single pound of meat is the environmental equivalent of driving more than 40 miles in an SUV? That's one big carbon footprint, my friends!

You have until September 30, 2008, to enter to win a gas card. We will contact the winners on October 1, 2008.

Fill out the form to enter now!

Most of my biologist friends, and myself, beleive that the animal rights should be the cornerstone of the environmental movement.

But PETA, if you're going to slap us in the face by applauding wildlife extinctions and by supporting the gas and SUV industry, please don't expect us to be in your corner either.

Drilling and the automobile industry is responsible for the horrible deaths of millions of marine birds and mammals. And the folks at BP are a bunch of liars.
