Internet Soup!

It's a gloomy day here in Norfolk. My coffee mug is empty, my pumpkin–chocolate-chip muffins are all gone, and the "News of the Weird" folder in my in-box is overflowing. You're probably wondering what kind of news could be classified as "weird" by an organization that has proposed that Ben and Jerry's should use human breast milk for its ice cream. Read on to find out about the weird stuff—and more!

That chocolate study definitely made me feel better about eating a whopping four of those pumpkin–chocolate-chip muffins—whew! I guess I'll go refill my coffee mug, plow through my in-box, and hurry home to forward that rap video and animal birth control ad to all my MySpace peeps.

Were they on crack that day?? They invited a 4 year old to stand near a raptor, bad idea.

They are not "mean" but they get nervous in front of people (especially large crowds) and those shows sometimes force them to fly around, the bird tries his best to land with all those distractions, I would not put children anywhere near those talons when they're trying to land!!

I have really mixed feelings about those shows. If they're rehabbed birds (who were maybe hit by a car and will go back into the wild or would otherwise be destroyed) it's better than zoo animals, but I wonder if they really do educate the public or it they are just a novelty to people.

If they're just a novelty, the birds are suffering for nothing. This is where human studies come in handy.

Thanks for the notes, Sean!! Here's hoping the rest of your week is warm and filled with vegan coffee. ;)

My Grandma lives 5 minutes down the road from the KFC on Long Island.
I'm home sick...or more so, New York sick. Long Island sucks.

I see the "Tax Meat" pigs made an appearance at Ole Miss (the University of Mississippi) for the debate Friday! For those who are wondering, they are standing at the "Walk of Champions" arch that the football team walks through on their way to the stadium on game day. Speaking of which, any progress on piggie-free footballs?

I'm glad to hear that Israel's next PM may be a vegetarian. Good luck, Tzipi!

I saw those pigs on campus. I was so proud. Lots of media were on campus that week of course due to the Presidential Debate. I told them that I was excited to see their presence and they gave me a "Tax Meat" button which I wear proudly everyday since then. Go OLE MISS!!!
