When my friend Marta sent me an email last week asking me if she could have some of my hair, I didn’t even blink. Marta is one weird chick, and I’ve come to expect stuff like that from her.* But it turns out she actually had a logical (albeit somewhat disturbing) reason for the request: Those convention-flaunting pranksters over at peta2 have arranged for a very, very special birthday gift for our old arch nemeses the Olsen Twins.
And this isn’t one of those token gifts that just adds to the clutter—it’s something they can really use! Thanks to my colleagues at peta2, and the hundreds of peta2 Street Teamers who are chipping in to donate their hair, the Olsens will have enough genuine, certified “people fur” on their birthday to make their own fur coats for the rest of the year! And they won’t have to harm a single animal in the process.

Yes Jack, I do agree with Marta. Marta's idea to send our hair to the Trollsen twins hammers home the fact that there's no excuse to wear fur, EVER. Weird? Don't think so.
Weird is watching yourself on YouTube all day (and singing about how beautiful you are). I rest my case.

I agree with Tiffani. Trollsen twins? Hairy-Kate and Trashley? Playground tactics are one reason why PeTA suffers from a lack of respect.

Darn it! I just got my hair cut last week and I had a good 4 inches of bright red people hair (with streaks of gray). Wish I'd known!

Tiffani, isn't ripping the skin from a poor animal much more of a hateful thing to do? It's hardly going to harm the girls is it? It might just make them think - you never know, stranger things have happened!

Have you campaigners forgotten just how famous these two are? FAR TOO FAMOUS to open their own mail. It'll be disposed of before it gets anywhere near them.
Far from getting the point across, they'll never even see any of your hair! So, do yourselves a favour and keep it on your bodies...you'll need it when it gets colder. Either that, or go ahead...and buy your own fur coat in Winter when you're missing that extra little bit of insulation ;)

Why would you cut off your hair and send it to the ollsen twins when there are people who have no hair. Why waste it on something like that. Also bashing them is not going to get you anywhere in life. Remember having fur coats was a popluar thing in the past to have.

The Olsen twins are grown ups and should know better than to wear fur???? They are indeed grown ups and should be able to wear whatever the hell they want!
Why would sending them human hair do anything? This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!
I personally don't wear fur, but I do eat meat. I also love a good veggie burger, and have meat free days. It's my choice as I live in a FREE country.
I understand you want to spread the word on animal cruelty, but you people take it way too far. I mean you've made a website dedicated to this. I am SURE there are other ways to spread your messege than making the most hateful and horrid looking website. What are you people a bunch of 12 year old girls??
I believe more people would listen to your messege if you were NICE about it instead of being pretentious and bitchy

As much as i dislike the Olsen twins, I now dislike PETA more for there rubbishy games. I don't remember the last time WHO magazine featured a story of the Olsen twin beating a furry animal to death for clothing.
This type of act make PETA look uneducated and lame. Unfortunately i imagine its just a some group to junior bullies like you, that's only job there is photocoping and running the postroom. Your ruining your organisations image. Your should be embarrassed and out of your love and respect for animal should resign.

PETA, can you please act mature and stop with these childish games. Yes, the world knows you are serious about your causes, but can you please act more rational and grown up? The Olsens will not respect you; they will think you are vile and disgusting. Yes, the way they treat animals on fur farms are vile and disgusting, if you're going to say that, but don't play the same game they do. Grow up, and stop embarrassing yourselves. We'll believe you, but not if you act like this.

sherilyn, 12 year olds are more mature than this. A 12 year old would think the beyond ridiculous redubbing of names is extremely stupid. Trust me.
I know officialy have no respect for PETA. I do not think animal cruelty is at all acceptable, but instead of attacking
two celebrities who probably couldn't care less of what you send them in the mail, PETA could actually attack the fur producers. But no, let's chop off our hair and slap it in an envolope to its journey to nowhere!
