In a recent conference call with investors, KFC outlined strategies for improving flagging U.S. sales, including projecting a "younger image." Since we're going to be matching these guys stride for stride until they agree to make some major changes in the way they treat chickens, that means we need to be hitting the same markets with our message that KFC tortures animals. The latest salvo in this operation is our series of edgy horror-movie-style anti-KFC spots, which will be debuting in Boston this week for the BU, Tufts, and Harvard audiences as a counter to the college-targeted advertising that KFC's been running.

This one's my favorite from the series. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out the whole site. It's kind of awesome.

You guys have been showing some kick-ass videos lately. I like the edgy and progressive PETA. Congrats on the campus showings.

Who are these cricket boys, anyway? ;)

I find this video a bit disturbing :(
just a bit tad 'over the top' especially when these huge 'chickens' are grouped together with their 'drug syringes'? point made .. couldn't PeTA have made it a leetle bit more 'subtle'??

Dark and gothic, but makes you think.

Fantastic!
Really captures the style of popular horror films right now. The stylistic imagery really works. I think you should use this type of design for other campaigns. This reminds me of the german made anti sealing video. This style of advertising could be used for fur, racing, circuses, animal testing... you name it.

Yf,

I think you made a good point - the videos are kind of too Hunter Thompson in a way.

BUT, I think that these videos have their place. They are great for college campuses, film festivals and maybe the Independent Film Channel.

I hope that PETA continues to make videos that can be shown other places as well, such as network tv, and ones that are appropriate for children.

The billboard ads with Pink and the beautiful broadway star are appropriate for everyone and I would love to see many of the tasteful PETA campaigns be more visible in the media.

I'd have to get some upgrades to my system to watch the video, but from your explanation, I'm all for it!

I like the "what if you we're killed for your fur" video the best. i think you should do one with like someone beating up a person (dummy) and someone beating up a chicken (a dummy aswell) the message should be, "what's the difference".
