This thing's off to an amazing start, if you ask me. Here's the first installment of 10% Wool. With that in mind, don't forget to call your newspaper and ask them to carry DeFlocked! For more details on that, check out last week's post, in case you missed it.

Jeff, You really nailed it!

The bird looks so forlorn in the last panel. Great message, Jeff.

P.S.: Love the color scheme.

My friend has a bird, Zoe. She bought her from the pet store so young that she was not around other birds enough, and she has not learned to fly. She's now a year old, and she still walks everywhere she wants to go. My friend is really good to Zoe, and she really is part of her family, but birds are meant to fly, not be kept as "pets" who never get the chance to do what they are naturally meant to do. I have to bite my tongue every day she talks about Zoe because she's also my co-worker, and I can't ruin that relationship.

This is just plain sick. What kind of person gets a thrill off of doing this to a poor, helpless animal?

i quote the use of rev. heather jacobs ,"This is just plain sick. What kind of person gets a thrill off of doing this to a poor, helpless animal?"
now this doesnt show what the majoryty of people do if you are going to be in one of these organisations like peta do not start saying that people are doing this to all animals its not true get ur facts staright then say it ok ... most people if the have parrots bird w/e (whatever) they will let them fly around freely so its not true that they are held their for the rest of their life

Brilliant 10% Wool!
I think denying a bird the right to fly is one of most selfish things humans do.
