Here's what basketball star Ron Artest had to say about his awesome new ad for PETA:

Hey Ron,
Yes, it does take "balls" to speak out and act on the pet overpopulation, and I thank you for that. I would also like to say "thanks" for showing your beautiful dog, as well as being against the horrible world of dog fighting. I am a long-time pit-bull owner and have fallen in love with this breed's temperment, loyalty, and personality.
Unfortunately, I must say that "Ingrid's" balls are much bigger than yours when it comes to pit-bulls and "EXTERMINATION". Maybe now, with first hand experience, and seeing that not all "pit bull owners" live in the lower class neighborhoods, sell drugs and are gang affiliated, don't allow their dogs to play with other dogs or children, and only wear chains around their neck instead of collars (my handsome Daddy-Blue wears a Coach:)) she will have enough education to realize that her article about exterminating all pit bulls was actually very ignorant on her part, and a hudge mistake. It's sad to think that someone who is so against animal cruelty could be so open about hating a breed of dog that she knows nothing about.
I have been a PETA activist for a few months now and as you now know it makes you feel fulfilled knowing that we are speaking for our fellow animals who don't have the capability to do it for themselves. It is very important to have our pets spayed and neutered and I want to pesonally thank you for speaking out for PETA because being a star like yourself you can get the important word out there easier than the average person. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
Margi (or Jack), what is that article by Ingrid to which you referred? That upsets me greatly as well since I consider Ingrid a huge animal supporter (obviously). I rescued a pitbull-mix (I found Macy on petfinder.com) and I have NEVER in all my years had a better dog. One that lives to cuddle with us & loves people (especially children) & other dogs too! She's the smartest dog that I have ever owned and incredibly well-behaved. Some try to say it's the mix part...but I know from the research that I have done that it is definitely the "pit part"! I need to read that Ingrid article...
Ron,although I don't follow the NBA, I applaud you on your support for saving our best friends as in dogs, and speaking out against cruelty to animals. I am disgusted with Roger Goodell's decision to reinstate a dog murderer like Vick. This is an outrage and I know he will poison any team that has the audacity to hire him.
