Envelope, please.

And the winner is . . . Steve Baldwin. For his adorable ad promoting humane “pest” control, Steve will receive a $500 Apple gift card. And be sure to check out Steve’s blog about the wild parrots of Brooklyn here.

Honorable mention goes to Jason Frizzell for his “America’s Next PETA Model” ad. When we ran all of the finalists’ ads on a variety of blogs across the Internet, people just couldn’t resist clicking on Jason’s ad, so we decided that we should also recognize him with a $200 Apple gift card.

And no, I am not still bitter that my ad was disqualified from the competition . . .

Congratulations Steve and Jason!

So if I kill a roach, its wrong? How about a rat? Rabbits?

These animals are in no danger of extinction; so I dont see a point in this. :/

There should be a banner making contest...

They were all winners!!

Um, were you being facetious, Caboose? Because following your logic, humans would be fair game, too... seeing as how we're in no danger of extinction 'n all.

But if I may try to clear up your (presumed) confusion:

"The point" is simply that some of us have a problem with killing other sentient beings, whether human or animal, "pest" or "pet". Flesh is flesh. Blood is blood. Murder is murder.

Nancy, thank you for your clear, concise explanation. Humans simply do not have the right to decide which earthlings they can kill and which ones get spared.

and Socialists are Socialists.

And really there isnt anyone to oppose us.

Do you like roaches? Rats?

Only politicians have that right. :/

actually we do have the right to decide which animal or earthlings as you put get killed or hunted and which ones are usefull to us for other purposes like clothing food or transpotation. the animals were put here for us to use as we see fit.

Wrong again, space cadet (MARS)! Jack doesn't think hunters have small male private parts. Jack KNOWS that they do because of a scientific study recently released! : )

JACK,
Perhaps you would like to do the hunters (killers) a "favor" one day soon by re-posting that study. Post it in "honor" of Mars! : )

Claude said, "actually we do have the right to decide which animal or earthlings as you put it get killed."

Why do you have that right?

but the Covenant are evil, and we call on the Master Chief for help!

"Genisis 9:9+10 GOD does not make covenents with humans alone:-)

That passage does state a Covenant with Noah and his sons with God and not animals. The passage includes animals as part not party to the Covenant which clearly states the Covenant is established with Noah and his sons.

8And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

9And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

10And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

11And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

They should do one on male PETA models then but then a micrometer only goes so small so it probaly can't be done.
