Our International Grassroots Campaigns department recently put together a cool little feature about what it’s like to work in that part of the organization, so if you’re a front lines kind of person, check that out here. But if being out on the street protesting isn’t your thing, don’t fret. Believe it or not, that’s not what most of us here at PETA do every day!

So, if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work here or what qualifications we look for in prospective employees, give this page a peek, then send in your résumé.
And after you get hired, stop by my desk to say hi!

I wish I could be a staff writer, but I'm quite young, so I don't have any professional publications in newspapers or anywhere, sadly.

Halo snipe,
Based on your posts I don't think you're much of an expert on 'smart'.
Kitty,
Just get started writing and submitting letters to papers, etc. Write an op-ed and send it in. You have the desire—that's the most important thing.

i would like to join PETA office staff but unfortunately i'm living in europe - so i'm posting much here on the blogs for to help in this way - all for the animals and one day a complete victory!

Kitty,
Listen to what mike says.
Some of our brightest writers
started very young.
If you have the desire to write, you are on your way.
Best of luck to you.....

kitty,
I agree with Mike and Judith.
And would like to add: I'm sure you would like to be a staff writer right now, but your youth is not really a hindrance. It is your exciting advantage. By starting to write now, you won't have to look back some day and say: "I wish I had..."
animalfriend,
Your posts are VERY much appreciated and VERY helpful!

I am an international PETA donor member from Malaysia, and i am interested to apply for intern.
But, too bad, US is too far from where i live and my mother is not agreeing me for the internship application.
She has Osteoporosis and she is worry that i won't care about my family anymore..
I had tried to convince her that it's not that i don't love my family anymore, i just want to gain more experience for working at overseas, but then she changes her mind and decided for not care about me anymore.
She said:"Just do what you like, but don't bother the family!"..
Sigh, sometimes i just wish that i am someone else.. =(
