Check out this great Boston Globe article about the growth of vegan fashion. While I’m not exactly what one would call an expert in the field, it’s great to see so many companies recognizing that there is a huge market out there just waiting to be tapped. And you know the market is there when there are personal stylists who specialize in vegan fashion . . .

And as always, anyone looking to emulate the ever so hip look I’ve got going on, feel free to get in touch and I’ll try to help you out.

what a nice picture with the PETA shirt and the horse! they should also fabricate vegan saddles and all the stuff for to ride - which uptil now is still pure leather!

There are Vegan saddles! Wintec is the company. Look under non-leather saddles.

There are lots of synthetic saddles made nowadays and bridles without bits. But I suppose if you are vegan for ethical reasons then you wouldn't ride a horse anyway.

Peta believes that horseback riding can be a good thing. Some horses even like being riden. But, what peta is aggaisnt is mis-using a crop or using pointy spurs. I am a Equestrian. I have been riding since I was nine. I am also a vegan.
I don't overwork my horses or mistreat them in anyway. I don't EVER use spurs and if I ever HAVE to use a crop then, I only do light taps on the horse's shoulders to help direct the horse where to go. I also only use synthetic saddlery.
In my oppion in order to be a good equestrian, you must have a passion for horses. Not just riding. And shows and eventing and stuff like that, is for fun not ribbons and money!
