Have you ever wondered what it would be like if hundreds of dogs took over a brewpub? Well, people in Portland, OR, found out yesterday, at the annual Portland “Pug Crawl”, a benefit for the Oregon Humane Society. The event was basically a traditional pub crawl, but dogs were invited along as well.
This little guy’s outfit served two purposes, it protected him from the ever present Portland drizzle, and was a great entree into conversations about KFC cruelty.
Thanks to Donna from Portland for the pics and “Pug Crawl” report.

My Aunt has a pug and is a vegetarian; needless to say she was ecstatic when I showed her that picture.

Just wanted to put in a plug for pug rescue and adoption
There are tons of great pugs who need homes now. The puppy mills are churning them out, and people buy them on a whim then dump the poor dogs

I want to do this at our next KFC protest - can someone tell me where I can obtain this costume?

I read the site on KFC cruelty - the only way to stop a corporation this big and this callous is to lobby lawmakers to make this kind of treatment illegal, with specific provisions for minimum cage sizes, regular inspections for hygienic conditions, penalties for lack of compliance, etc. Only when it is actually illegal (not just immoral) will they comply. Sad but true.

What's great are the new commercials--no trans fat per serving in KFC! Who are they kidding? Well, it MUST be healthy now! Trans fat is still lurking in there...along with all those poor, processed little chickens.

Hahah, Paul. All the other dogs are going to be snickering behind his back.

That's some outfit. Now if that isn't animal cruelty, I don't know what is!
