Cavepeople in Montreal

Well, through no particular design, the last couple of posts have been a little heavy—a lion mauling and a dead, angry chicken—so I figured we were long overdue for a bit of light relief here, which arrived in my inbox this morning in the form of a few beautiful photos of an anti-fur demonstration organized by an activist named Lucas in Montreal. Lucas' demo got some great coverage in the local media, including this story on 680 News. Decked out in their cavepeople costumes and holding signs with anti-fur messages, Lucas and co. made their way into pretty much every story about the recent fur-pushers' convention in Montreal. Love it.

Thanks Jack for posting this! It was such an exciting 2 days of action against NAFFEM (NORTH AMERICAN FUR AND FASHION EXPOSITION OF MONTREAL) WWW.NAFFEM.COM
This year we greeted the "cruella deville" type fur industry people as they entered their fancy gala (paid for with the blood money of millions of tortured animals)
On our 2nd day of action we stood outside Place Bonaventure holding signs reading "NAFFEM STUCK IN THE STONE AGE" and our cavewomen greeted fur industry people...beating their sticks against the ground and grunting.. I screamed on a loudspeaker "FUR IS FOR BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS, AND UGLY PEOPLE" the Industry executives looked pretty uptight as if they had been anally electrocuted just as they do to the animals. We made national news and it rocked. thanks to my Montreal crew who helped make it happen. thanks Matt Rice, Cassandra, Deedra and all the awesome peta people who helped.
