It’s already the talk of the fashion world gathered in New York for Fashion Week, and of course the media is all over it, but just in case you haven’t heard yet, PETA and Marc Bouwer are making fashion history today. This afternoon, PETA is hosting Bouwer’s show—the first ever collection by a designer that’s 100 percent cruelty-free. Not even any wool! In an industry that isn’t exactly known for its social conscience, Bouwer stands out as a very successful anomaly. He’s dressed A-listers galore including Mariah Carey, Oprah, Jessica Simpson, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Hudson, and so many others. Remember how amazingly hot Angelina looked at the Oscars? That was Marc:

We’ll have exclusive photos and video from the show soon, so check back in the next few days.

Good luck this afternoon Marc!

I wish other designers that use fur follow in Marc's & PETA's example. While I don't follow fashion, I think anyone that finds humane alternatives and dares not to follow suits, deserves a pat on the back!!

I hope other designers that use fur will soon realise that it's unnecessary and unappealing.

Keep Up the Great Work!!!

WOW.. First EVER collection ALL cruelty free? That's pretty awesome and remarkable. PETA is a celebrity in their own right!

'Cruelty-free fashion' is an encouraging name for this possibly new big thing..'Topshop' in London just did a huge anti fur window...just when I was worried the young girls might
naively start getting into fur.....there is a consciousness that can be changed overnight...one woman..at a time.Marc you will be doing that now.

Jay McCarroll's (Project Runway's Season 1 winner)collection last September at Fashion Week was also Cruelty-Free.

I WOULD LIKE TO START A CAMPAIGN AGAINST CRUELTY TO STARVING MODELS OF MARC BOUWER. HIS MODELS ARE EMACIATED. HELP THESE POOR CREATURES. THEY LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE FEELINGS DON'T THEY???MARC'S MODELS NEED FOOD. THEY HAVE BRAINS SIMILAR TO CATS AND DOGS, FORM FAMILIES, RECOGNIZE EACH OTHER, AND LIKE CHICKENS HAVE A PICKING ORDER.

Peggy you comment on skinny models needing help in Marc Bauers Show...no they don't...they do it for the money...that is their choice ..focus on the animals..they do not have a choice .
