A couple of years ago, we went after P. Diddy pretty hard for for his furry ways, and to make a long story short, he wound up meeting with us about the issue. We explained how animals on fur farms are killed by anal or vaginal electrocution, how animals in the wild are often drowned, beaten to death or left to suffer in traps for days on end, we showed him video of all this, the whole nine yards.

Well, I guess it at least had some effect on him because in an interview in the new Blender magazine, he says “PETA has had an effect on me. If you look at a lot of the Sean John stuff, we have gone to faux fur.” Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Sean John, or Diddy, have gone completely fur free, but this is clearly progress. And you can't argue with progress.

I’d show you the whole interview, but alas, our Legal Department won’t let me.

Diddy is acknowledging some good business sense here

Most people are down on fur- all kinds of people from all walks of life. The buyers. The customers.

Why watch profits decline when you could just switch to fake?

Omg, that Lawyers Coloring book is hilarious.. did you write that? Who wrote that?

I'm glad to see PETA has had an effect on him! Hopefully, he will continue to eliminate all fur from his clothing line.

Well, I don't think any pressure should be taken of of him nor do I see any improvement. It's been well documented that much of the "fake" fur is not fake at all.
Even "real fake" fur promotes the fur industry by sending a message that wearing fur is acceptable. If PETA really had "an effect" on him he'd remove all fur from all of his so called fashion. Do you mean to tell me he watched all that footage, saw all that suffering and horror and a tiny baby step that is probably a misstep is all the effect it had? I'm still not buying it...

PETA approves faux fur. I am tired of fashion nazis telling me I can't wear fake fur. Give me a break. Fake fur sends the message that no living thing has to die to create fashion. Attitudes like this make people want to wear real fur. Before you tend the gardens of others, you should tend your own. Fake fur is FAKE. I have been attacked by ecofeminists for wearing fake fur. They couldn't even tell it was fake. So much for their love of animals. Rather than apologize, they escalated the verbal abuse because I was wearing faux fur. They did nothing to further their cause with me.
